ECS 648FX-A1 can it use high density memory?

The Motherboard limitation are DDR400 = 2GB maximum size per slot
Allthough you can with slower memory DDR333 or DDR266 go to the 3GB memory limit.
Due to the age it will be trail and error on the memory types. You won't necessary get any problems with the high density memory as long as it is good quality memory and you don't exceed the slot memory limit as mentioned above.
I recommend that you download the motherboard manual and read it.

Audio problem

Hi reynaldo_sos,

I'm not real sure that your problem is the motherboard. Have you checked to make sure that mute isn't on, and looked inside sound icon in your control panel to make sure that windows recongizes the sound card? If not, I'd check the easy stuff first. And if that doesn't work, you can find the drivers for that sound card HERE! Make sure that's the same version that you want.

Good Luck,

Mark

3 long beeps of my elitegroup ecs green 320

If you cangatehr this much of information you are no less than a computer engineer. Nobody needs to build a car to change its tyre. If you arrange a spare HDD and RAM, remove the original HDD and try to install windows on that. And if problem persists do the same with RAM also. I am sure you could solve this problem yourslef.

3 long beeps with my Elitegroup ECS Green 320 laptop

Let's start with the most overlooked reason. Sounds like the battery died. Is your laptop's battery fully charged. Plug it in over night and give it a good chance to recharge the battery. Then turn on your laptop WITH the power cable attached. Did this solve your problem? If not we'll go to the next step.
