I had the same problem after replacing the bulb. Forgot to reset the Bulb Timer.
See http://www.fixya.com/support/t2772071-lg_ru52sz61d_lamp_reset
Also, clean the Bulb Fan thoroughly.

3. Error Code Operational Check

Note: The TV must be in "Shut Down" and not have been switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational

Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to "12" No Error.

Pressing the front panel "DEVICE" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,

activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem

has occured since the last Initalization.

Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

Example: If the Error Code is "23", the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times.

I replaced the lamp in my dlp tv .It turns on for about 5-10 seconds then the lamp turns off and the bulb signal light flashes res

Check to make sure that the lamp housing is fully seated in the compartment, and that the door is properly closed and secured. There's a microswitch on the lamp access door that will shut the lamp off if the door isn't in place properly. That switch itself can be bad and can cause your problem.
Good luck.

I have an LG DLP. that turns off after 15 -30 seconds

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

Bad Bulb?

the pins that protrude into the lamp compartment have a tendency to get out of alignment where the lamp will only make partial contact. It sounds like what youre describing.

TV acts like it is turning on then shuts off then repeat, repeat

When my lamp died the bulb literally exploded. That may be what you heard. Have you check the lamp? If the lamp is ok, the lamp's ballast or power supply might have blown.

DLPs have flow chart trouble shooting techniques to pinpoint exactly why your set isnt completeing the boot sequence. If you would like the service manual for your model let me know and i will post a link where you can purchase a complete one.

DLP TV turning on and off automatically - Mitsubishi WD-52327

1. Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2.
