Hp laserjet 3055 has code 52 scanner error and wont print or copy

Flatbed scanner is bad replace whole top half p/n q6502-60116 approx. $150 - $200

Unfortunately there's no troubleshoot with a 52 error. As it implies it's usually the scanner bad. It sits up top- under the top cover. It connects to the Formatted Board on the left side. and there's 2 connector s at the scanner itself.

So if Your HP Printer is Under warranty ( 12 Months ) Then I Suggest You Go To Official authorized HP shop for your HP Printer Problem and Troubleshoot or Go To Official HP Printer Website To Update HP Printer Software and Driver,Or You Update It From Official Below URL Link:

Basically, for most of HP printers error 52 means laser-scanner motor incorrect speed...
Try to replace laser-scanner assembly (visit authorized service)

Odds are that you have a bad toner cartridge; especially common when using remanufactured cartridges. (Staples, Corporate Express, etc.) Replace your cartridge with an OEM HP cartridge and you should be OK.

Try these steps.

52 Scanner Error The all-in-one has experienced an internal
hardware error.
1. Turn off the power by using the power
switch, and then wait at least 30
seconds.
2. If a surge protector is being used,
remove it. Plug the all-in-one directly
into the wall socket.
3. Check the FFC connection between the
formatter and the scanner.
NOTE Do not bend or fold the
FFCs during the removal or
reinstallation process.
4. Try connecting the product to a different
power source or surge protector.
5. Turn on the power and wait for the all-inone
to initialize.
6. If the error persists, replace the laser scanner assembly

If you scanner error 5 or printer hangs at scanner bulb warming up than the issue is with Scanning Assembly inside the printer and it is hardware issue.

SOLUTION FOR HP 3055 SOFTWARE INSTALL ERROR!

THE METHOD:
Search for file "DPINST.LOG" on your computer. This will show you specifically what ERRORS are taking place.
