Well, I don't use the Wii wheel. I played with the gba and Game Cube controller. So I recommend to try using the nunchuk in your races. Play Wii play to test your wii remote's pointing and twisting ability's
If you don't get good results by another wii remote
ive had that problem with alot of games the problem is when you turn on the controler ifr one of the buttons is held donw then it uses that button like on animal crossing if you have the dirctional button held down or you have the nun chuk pulled to the side at all your person will run in that direction and you can really get them to stop. turn off your controler and make sure nothing is press or turned and turn back on hope that helps
