For that you need to set first boot device as cd/dvd rom in bios. When you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or del or aLT+F2 key to enter in bios. Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as cd/dv rom then save settings and exit from bios. Then it will boot with windows disk. What happens if you put the disk in and run the greeting card program? Does it ask you to insert the CD?
If you have AutoRun turned off for the CD drive, nothing will happen
when you put it in. And most software install disks are not bootable,
usually only OS and Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware disks.
Also, if you have two CD/DVD drives, try the other one.
