Amplifier Goes into protected mode when I connect the rca jacks.

The wiring is bad on the plugs and shorting out, or whatever is on the end of the cable has an issue. Also look along the cable for rodent, cat, dog chewing.

Questions like this need 'make model (what is is) of every item involved. On a vehicle 'year make model' as well.

The bad ground causes the amplifier to go into the protect mode. So, make sure to check the grounding wire and overall connection to figure it out and set back the amplifier to its normal mode.

I have two Crown XS 1200 and the fault light keeps blinking no fans turn on and ive tried turning them on and off unpluging removing everything off them crown website says its in protected mode is there...

Hello,

A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Amplifier and look at the power supply on the middle section of the amplifier

You will see bid round capacitor that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same capacitor rating but a higher voltage.
Hope this help in solving the problem....

MY KICKER ZX 750.1channel amp "FLIP FLOPS" from protected mode(red light) to normal (green light) every 2 seconds.

Are you getting any sound output at all from amplifier?
Is there a popping or banging coming from speaker?
It could possibly be a faulty output mosfet that is ocillating cause DC to leak onto the speaker output causing it to flip into protect.
please advise
thanks,ben

PROTECTION LIGHT IS ON AND THERE IS NO POWER...WHATS GOING ON???

It when into protection mode either because something shorted, or it was over loaded, or over heated.

Disconnect the power for 5 minutes then hook it back up.

If after doing this it still remains in protected mode, there could be a more serious problem.

If it comes out of protection, and it goes back to protected mode a lot, then you have you ohm load wired too low. The amplifier cannot handle that low of an ohm load.

Re wire to a higher ohm.
