Deleting songs and folders could be performed on the player itself,
see page 25 "Explorer mode".
Deleting files when connected to a computer using the provided USB cable:
1. Seeing the player as a removable disk, exploring on the computer,
in the MUSIC folder for songs, see page 28 and 29.
Always remember to safely disconnect after using this transferring method !
2. Using software like Windows Media Player or Coby Media Manager.

plug it into your computers usb port (or via cable if required).
go to my computer and you should see a new icon (possibly D: drive or removable drive)
open that.
the will either be a list of all the music or a folder to go to with the music in it.
select each song (one left click of mouse) or songs by dragging the mouse with left button down and then delete them (right click and choose delete).
do a happy dance.

Did you try to go from the Main Menu into the EXPLORER ?
Explorer Controls
When you choose EXPLORER mode from the Main
menu, you will see the File Explorer screen. You can
find and delete files or folders from the player.
Function Key Action
To browse through the list of
files & folders
Press <UP> or
<DOWN>
To select a folder Press <ENTER>
To return to the previous screen Press <LEFT>
To delete a selected item Press <MENU>
To return to the Main menu Hold <MENU>

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, etc. from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.
