sorry, i didn't mean to double posted. My browser freeze and I thought it didn't go through. I brought the DS console ds lite from Ebay and the seller is located in Hong Kong. I received the DS console ds lite about 3 days ago. The power was working fine up until this morning. This morning when i tried to use it, the ds console does not power on. I tried to charge the console, the orange light went on for a second then disappeared. I thought it was the AC adapter so i went to a friend house to try his AC adapter and didn't work either. We then swapped the battery and it didn't work either. The battery that came in the ds console works on my friend ds console lite and the AC adapter that came with the ds console works on my friend ds console. With that said, i could rule out the battery and the AC adapter. Not sure what is wrong with it. If you could assist, i would be appreciate.

    Thank you

okay... going back to my problem about ds console does not power on. I've replaced the battery from my friend ds console and still couldn't power on. The battery from my ds console worked on my friend ds console. do you think the issue is the battery? i called Nintendo for support but the serial number is not in their database because i purchased from Hong Kong. What should I do?

I'm extremely sorry for what your going through. This is most likely a
problem with your battery. If your not very computer smart then your
only solution would be to send it into Nintendo. If you are computer
smart you could order a new battery off the internet and replace your
    broken one.

Either way, I personally would just send it in for free repair before its too late.

If I helped you, please help me by rating me well.

    Thanks,

I'm done helping you. You rate me horribally even though I give you a perfect answer. Bye.

  • Anonymous Dec 13, 2009

Well, man. I do this for free. The least you could do would be to show some appreciation instead of kicking my rating down by doing that.

There's my solution, take it or leave it.

  • Anonymous Dec 13, 2009

It's completely fine. If you could fix this for me though: I need to to rate me as good because you rated me as bad. Just go here.

If you ever need help make sure to ask me.

I'm working my hardest to become a premium expert.

    Thanks,

I'm just glad that I helped. You scared me there for a second because I didn't understand what I did wrong. But still, if you ever need help please ask me. I would be more than willing to help you.

    Thanks,

Well, um... I would say it's not the battery for sure. The best solution now would be to send it into an online repair professional.I don't know how much it would cost but I found one for you. Here is it, here.

    Thanks,
    Brandonmxb

When i power on my ds lite my green light turns on then turns rite bcak off and when I attach the charger it does the same thing.... What/s wrong with it?

Does the orange light come on when you plug it in? If it does, then it is a failure of either the DS's BIOS or its Memory. If the orange light doesn't come on, then the AC adapter is broken.

You can get a new adapter fairly easily, but it isn't worth trying to fix a BIOS or hardware issue.

If it's a fairly new DS, contact Nintendo's Customer Service, and see if they'll replace it.

Ds lite suddenly stopped working

The orange light goes off when the battery has been charged to its highest capacity. After every charge, the batteries capacity is decreased. Get a new battery, that should do it.

Nintendo ds wont charge

cheekiemunke,

First of all, your DS Lite is charging both ways.....with power on and without power on.
You have for almost 99% sure a blown fuse F2 on the systemboard.
If you can solder you can try to replace it with a new one but be adviced, it is tricky if you don't have the skills with soldering SMD components and it can send your DS lite to the trash.
So my advice is find someone that repair DS Lites or order a fuse on eBay and try it yourself.

John

When the DS charges it usally comes up with a orange/red ish light then that goes out about a few hours later when its charged. ad if you want to chek if it is charging correcly turn the DS on whilst it is charging and the little battery simble in the top right corner should show the battery carging.
