...dead Hello, I own a Bosch SHU3036UC / U12. It has never been a problem until yesterday. The unit simply wont power "On". I checked my circut breakers and GFIs, but not an issue. The dishwasher is simply "Dead". Do you have any suggestions?

I have a Bosch SHU3036UC dishwasher. While sitting idle - during the day or over night, it fills up with fresh water. I shut off the water supply last night and this morning it was dry. Any ideas?

Bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description " bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles
"

I suspect the thermostat isn't satisfied when heating the water, hence it get`s hung up trying to heat in the part`s of the cycle it`s called for.

It very well could be caused by a faulty flow switch, NTC or heater as well but not very likely.

The dishwashers made by Bosch with a rotary dial timer have very few if any, issues with the actual timer or element but they do with the thermostat within the door panel.

If it ( the thermostat ) is not satisfied the water may heat but not be indicated via the thermostat, hence timer will not advance.

Here`s what you can try. If you have any hesitation or reluctance to service this yourself please call in an authorized B/S/H/ ( Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau ) appliance technician.

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel before attempting any service suggested **

  1. You will require a #20 torx screwdriver to remove the door panel by taking out the screws around the panel, except the ones along the top ( watch the edges they are very sharp )

  2. Once the panel is removed you should see the thermostat over by the detergent dispenser clipped to the inner door, remove it and test it. You`ll need a ohm meter/multi-meter plus a lighter or match to heat it up to see if it open`s & closes.
Example...

**NOTE** it can occur the thermostat can become loose and detach from the bracket which holds it in place, this too can manifest in the sysmptom of the timer not advancing.

Let me know how you make out and what you find.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and Good luck.

Regards,

My Bosch SHU3036UC is getting stuck during the cycle. Doesn't always get stuck in the same place. Saw an answer on here that it is probably the module. Is that something I can replace myself?

Hello,

I want to clarify some info with you before I give any solution advise if you don`t mind.

Have you had this dishwasher since it was new ? Do you still have the user manual ? I want to just clarify you are familiar with the "normal" operation. I hope you take that as I intend it, I mean you may in fact be completely aware of how it work`s normally, but being afar and therefore at a disadvantage than I typically would be on-site. I need to confirm before listing possible causes vs. regular functions, I hope you understand.

Does the unit alway`s complete it`s cycle eventually if left un-interrupted ? If so, how long would a regular cycle take on average ?

I`ll watch for your reply. Thank you.

Bosch SHU3036UC/U11 dishwasher does not stop filling with water

Hi,
It sounds as if the main program board has developed a fault - as it should come to a complete stop. The fact it kept the water valve open with the door open is a serious fault- so I would have it checked before using it again.

Most machines have a water-stop feature - so if it develops a leak - it will shut off the water. This clearly didn't happen.

Bosch SHU3036UC draining on wash cycle

it is probably going to be a grimy door thermostat between the inner and outer panel. its hooked into the back of the soap dispenser. someone would have to take the outer panel off then clean wipe away the caked grime from the thermostat and put it back in its place. if this doesnt fix it then it could be a heat assembly problem or timer problem. in that case you would need an appliance tech out

Tried to replace bosch soap dispenser model shu3036uc/u12

Wire positioning doesn’t matter to soap dispenser. If water is leaking from the door then the dispenser is not pressed in properly against its seal. As far as the door not opening if wires are connected perhaps the problem is in the control module. Voltage meter on wiring to dispenser should indicate this while machine is running at start of quick wash cycle. (First 5 minutes of cycle on heating)
