We had a power outage at our house recently and our dryer is now not working properly. It will allow you to start it but it then stops and the power cycles on it. If you turn it off or leave it be the power recycles about every 30 sec. I have tried reseting the breaker and unplugging the unit for several minutes but nothing is working. any help would be appreciated.
I am having the same problem, how did you end up fixing it??
Thank you ill get back to you after reading the tech manual shortly
ok first i dont beleive this is related to your power outage and are you going to try to fix it your self can you use a volt ohm meter
ok ill hang with you start here
Runs a few minutes and then stops:
• Empty dryer.
• Check motor spins freely.
• Lint buildup around drive motor.
• Low voltage present.
• Blower impeller blocked in blower housing.
• Drive motor - start switch contacts stuck closed.
hey if you need specifics ill be happy to provide start with low voltage do you know how to check it
first you need to understand there is nothing in your power that could cause this the motor has a device in it called a thermal limiter its a safety device that prevents over heating in the drive motor that's why the questions are all aimed at an over heating problem now the motor starts then runs awhile starts over heating then the thermal limiter kicks it out when the motor cools down it resets it starts again they also call it a overload protector so if the drum turns hard or you have a voltage drop ill tell you how to look for that tomorrow all the things i sent you also a heavy build up of lint on the motor can cause it the main thing is we are looking for something causing the motor to over heat this is how the machine works ok its late here but we will jump on it tomorrow ill tell you how to get in and see if heavy lint is on the motor ok we will get it done 17
ill run you through tests step by step tommrow where do you live so ill know contact time im in chattanooga tennessee

If I can fix it myself I would like to. I have a volt ohm meter.
it is none of those problems. The dryer is empty, the motor spins freely, the voltage is fine, the blower impeller is not blocked and I haven't looked at the the drive motor yet
This happened after the power went out several times in a row. I am pretty sure this caused the problem because the washer is doing the samething. The dryer functions properly during the 20 sec before it resets. When it resets the dial blinks twice and the sets itself on regular.
Any help would be nice

do I need to check on the unit or the outlet? and what does the voltage need to be at?
I checked the voltage coming into the house and it is at 123v
I ran the service mode and it told me on the diagnostic code chart that it is power failure. Any idea what this means?
I am having the same problem. How was your dryer fixed?
im going to help you can you give me your exact model number off the drier
Last night my Kenmore He3T steamcare dryer powered up, allowed me to select a dryer setting, I hit start, and it never started drying. I did a hard reset (unplugged for about 30 minutes) and the same thing happened.
