Lambda doesn't record, though it seems ready to go

I just got a lambda. everything's in the right order. at first, there was an issue with recording in cubase that i solved by getting drivers through the lexicon website. now, i set it up, made sure to make sure it was in the devices, click the red record button, connect my keyboard/bass/microphone in the proper line 1 and line 2 inputs on the back, set the tracks to the proper line, plug my headphones into the lambda, adjust the volumes and play the instrument to set the peak level, hear it in my headphones, then i click record and it starts to go, and i play something, but no waves, just a straight line, no matter what i do, no matter how i connect each device into the lambda.
simply, it won't let me record. it isn't registering the connection of the instrument through the lambda to the computer. i don't know where it gets lost in between, but a straight line is not what i played. promise.
any solution to this one?

I have the same problem. It seems right on the recording process but when trying to rewind and play it, nothing comes out just straight line.

You need to go to the "control panel" on your computer.....click on sounds and audio devices, then hit the "audio" tab...make sure the lambda is selected on the recording and playback device....then apply...this should take care of it

I am totally lost!! All I have is the lambda lexicon and cubase LE4 on my desktop.Apparently it is not set up correctly. I want to record guitar and voice I have sound on lambda through mike and guitar but...

All it needs is a USB connection. You'll need to go into Cubase device setup and make sure your lambda drivers are selected. Then create the audio channels in cubase with the inputs set as the inputs you're using for guitar and mic. There is a monitor button right next to the record enable button that needs to be enabled if you want to hear playback from your computer.

Good luck!

I Installed the Lexicon Lambda and followed all of the instructions to the letter. I can hear sound out with no problem, but when I record, it records from my laptops internal mic. Thus, everything in the...

You will need to go into your sound properties, you can do this by clicking on the speaker Icon thats down by the clock (lower rights hand side of your screen) that should bring up sliders for everything.
Their is also other options and advanced options you may need to enable that could be specific to your devices. but the main thing here would be for you to disable the one mic and enable the one you want and also possibly lower its sensitivity levels.
