screw adjuster all way in on handle bar, feed through bike to clutch arm, hook end nipple, then unscrew lever adjuster out until firm then adjust accordingly.
Most early to mid 80's Hondas have one hidden under the headlight with a plastic cover, and relays under the left side cover. I hope that helps. If so check it out first and then get back with a rating and testimonial. Thanks for using Fixya.
If ie is like other v stars it is on hte right side sitting on bike. Small cap with 3 or 4 allen screws. This is just a cover. You do not need to remove this. The cover behind this one is where the filter is at. Take the screws out and it will be snug pulling off due to an o ring seal. You will probably need to loosen the exhaust and/or the foot rest. Good Luck
Right hand side as you're sitting on the bike. Follow the cable down from the clutch handle and you'll see the cover that you need to remove. You can also make adjustments at either the handle end or the clutch casing end.
On the right side side of the bike there is a compartment with a small hex screw on the bottom left side. Use the larger hex wrench from your tool kit to remove this screw and the cover will pull off. The battery is then held behind a black plastic holder, which you can remove by prying the rubber strap off of the bottom.
could be a few things going on . have you checked the vacuum lines? could have one plugged or collapsed? Could be a carb problem? have you installed a carb kit yet ? or you could try a hotter spark plug.
On the right side of the bike on the side of the motor there is a black screw 8 or 10 mm unscrew it out fill with oil till it leaks out of the screw hole put screw back in and your set make sure the bike is level strait up and down.
