    Thanks Dan,

An approved Nokia Installer put it in for me prob 4 years ago. This is the first issue I have had in this time. It has worked really well for numerous years with 3 different phones (as my upgrades have come in).

I don't think that the button is stuck in since it still works correctly (I.e. the hold for 2 seconds initiates the voice dial, the hold for 10 seconds initiates a clear memory etc).

Where would the main control box be?

    Many thanks,

    Chris

Thanks Dan, I will have a look when I'm next at the car. When a call comes through, the Radio does automatically shut off and the phone ring comes through the speakers.

Do you have any idea why this might start to happen now. I haven't had any work done to the car, nor changed my phone etc? Thanks, Chris

You have done the corrct thing of removing power as these units lock up sometimes, if possible you will need to locate the main control box and check to see if the blue wire is connected to and ignition source, it sound like this is wired to be live all the time. Also have a look at the Nokia button, sometimes these stick in. Is this a problem that has just occured of have you installed it recently? Dan

Main control box could be anywhere behind the dash, try under the glovebox or under the radio. If you have a mute harness to make the sound come through the speakers, this could also be the problem as is sound like you have 12v constantly on the blue wire.

Sometimes the relays inside the mute harness stick due to wear and tear, you may be best to get an engineer too have a look at this as they will probably find the junction box quickly and have spare parts, try Nokia support web site for accredited engineers locations, You can see myself in North Wales.

Can u tell me what the pass word for the nokia ck-7w is and how to connect to the parrotv5.10v

The passcode for a Nokia CK-7W is 0000 you may need to clear all old phones first by holding down the Nokia button for 10 seconds whilst the car ignition is off. To pair with a Parrot ck-300 you will need to search for the kit from your bluetooth menu on the phone, the passcode is 1234 you may need to delete all old phones from the menu, hold down the red and green button until the parrot says "deleted".

Does the nokia ck-7w take more than one phone on bluetooth at the same time

No, the CK-7w can store more than one phone but is only active with one phone.

Have a Nokia 6233 mobile and Nokia CK-7W car kit.Phone still makes/receives calls when using CK-7W but no longer charges battery although phone charging is still OK when using stand alone charger plugged...

the cradles were a very poor design for this phone and the pins on the bottom bend and stick down. try cleaning with a dry toothbrush and check to make sure all pins are up.

I have a nokia ck-7w car kit and people can hear echoing when ever making calls to me.

this is because you are using a non Nokia phone, this kit has old bluetooth software which cannot be updated like newer kits.

My ck-7w kit is connected in my van ford ranger

sounds like the 12v+ cable (blue wire) may be lose, the kit is designed to switch off when the engine is off to save battery... the blue wire controles this. with regards to the bluetooth... make sure the box all the wire go to for the car kit is not behind any metal frame or anything that could block radio waves.
