If you turn the menu on does it show up properly when the picture is barely visible, or is everything caput.

Could be a bad resistor on the screen amp board causing excessive brightness. this will wash out the picture and cause fine diagonal lines in the picture. Without seeing it this is only a guess.

Your having trouble with the vertical sync/deflection circuitry. Probably a driver since it clears up after it gets warm. Could be as simple as a cold solder joint but it's not something you can do yourself unless your a tv repairman.

Refering to to mr walts inquiry and if it is, maybe you are having some issues in your vertical circuitry. It may be loose that it needs to be resoldered and other filter capacitors within the vertical section.

hi there, you do have a tunner problem, the little metal box is the tunner which is connected to your arial anttena or cable line. try to toch the ic near the tunner and feel if is it hot, you may be have a defective ic parts. check some parts at tunner section. ty

your vcr tunner is faulty take it to a tech and have him change the tunner.or probably you are connecting the wires wrong.
