We have a TMobile G1 phone that we purchased as soon as it came out. We have never had any problem with it except for a defective sim card 6 months ago. A few hours ago when playing a game, the screen went blank. The back light was there, the power lights were on the bottom of the phone, but the screen was empty. When attempting to reset it, the phone does nothing. We have taken the battery out, put it back in. We have tried everything. The phone is fully charged. Is there anything you can think of that might cause this? I can't believe it is a complete coincidence, but at the same time we had the problem with the phone, Tmobile was working on our account - changing out the telephone number for the phone. They also discovered a problem with the sim card that they told me we had to fix by replacing the sim card tomorrow. In the middle of all of that, the screen goes blank.

Hi i think your mobile is locked by particular provider. So only it didn't accept your t-mobile sim card. If you need unlock your mobile you can visit this site Theunlockarena.com here you can get the code and unlock your mobile easily. To get the code you have to mentioned which country is locked now, network provider and imei number. Then they send unlock code through email . After unlock your mobile you can easily use t-mobile sim card and any other sim card in your mobile. Theunlockarena.com

Call up tmobile, do not tell them you have a rooted phone or that it was modified in anyway, otherwise they will blame it. They will be able to help you get it working by modifying / adding some settings in your phone.
I dont think you can transfer them to a memory card but you can store them onto your SIM CARD as well as sync them to your TMOBILE account. On your phone under settings you should see DATA SYNCHRONIZATION and you should see where it says contacts, gmail, calendar if you select the square auto-syn Your information will automatically sync tmobile website.
Hi, I had that problem. I first verified that my TMobile internet was activated on my account and on my SIM card by putting the card in another phone and connecting to the 'net on it. Then I found the APN setting on the G1 and I changed the APN at the heading "T-Mobile US" from the new 3G APN "epc.tmobile.com" to the older APN "internet2.voicestream.com". The APNs can be accessed on your still-locked phone by pushing the "Menu" button at the sign-in screen. Scroll down to "T-Mobile US", select it and change "epc.tmobile.com" to "internet2.voicestream.com", exit by pushing the left-arrow button a few times, then re-enter your GMail info. If the "Edge" icon has appeared in the menu bar area, then you're golden!
