The KX-T7630 central telephone system is in a locked room, then it rings. there are about 6 extension phones. How can i pick up the call from the main telephone using the extension phone? I know from previous knowledge of this kind of system that you just have to press a number combination from the extension phone and there you have it, you can pick up the call from any extension phone. could anyone tell me how it would be? thanks.

This is just for your phone ringing when it's dialed, not for outside lines ringing on your phone.
From your intercom, dial *7104 (CF No Ans) 500 (if that's your VM extension) # That will flash your FWD/DND light to tell you it's forwarded on No Ans. Now on the intercom, dial *71324 The 713 part tells your phone to forward after xx seconds. 24 is about 4 rings. You can adjust the timing using 6 seconds as a ring cycle.
The KX-T7630 is a proprietary digital phone that will only work on panasonic phone systems. You need an analog phone if you are going to connect it directly to an outside telephone line.
If your old phone was an extension on the system and it is a TVA voice mail product, you dial the VM access code (usually 500) and when it answers you dial #6 * and your old extension.
You now appear as you would have if you had pressed MESSAGE or dialed 500 from your old phone.
When you bought the phone system, it was either installed by a professional installer, or you got some sort of instructions. A Panasonic phone system of the TDA/TDE/NCP type rings phones by Incoming Call Distribution Groups (ICD). The main group is 1 and usually is numbered 601. Extensions are members of an ICD group(s) and the number of rings can be programmed for No Ring, Immediate ring, or delayed rings of 1-6.
You can turn off the ringing, but keep in mind that CallerID only displays on a ringing phone or after you answer it. So, if you somehow have access to program 620 and 621, then you can change it from a phone, if not, you'll need access to the maintenance console of your particular phone system.
I don't wish navigating in 620/621 from a phone on my worst enemy and it's beyond the scope of a free forum to instruct you on how it works. I suggest you call your Panasonic service tech.

I'm guessing you're using the Digital XDP port. Each of the phones has an extension and that 2nd extension number has to be added to the ICD group as a phone for the lines to blink or ring on the 2nd phone.
Parallel is just a method of connecting phones. It has its own set of programming, both extension number, class of service, and ringing.
If you have access to system programming, you can add this phone to an ICD group with the other extensions. If not, you'll have to get in touch with your installer/dealer to make the changes.
