Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On Asian versions of an 84 Honda XR200R, the CDI unit has six wires:

  • blue/yellow - pulse generator
  • black - to ignition coil
  • black/white - engine stop switch;
  • green - ground;
  • green/white - pulse generator
  • black/red - exciter/charging coil at stator.

The ignition coil has 2 wires:
  • green - ground;
  • black - to CDI

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Simple as that 1985 honda xr200r stator has oil should it have oil there is no spark i thought it was the cdi box but decided to check stator and was full of oil

There is always some oil in there, it shouldn't be full of oil. But there will be a small amount.
Although this isn't for your bike it gives trouble shooting options for a CDi system.

Eng. breaks down when hot like a cyl cuts out. Could this be a coil module breaking down when hot . The bike other then this runs fine

You need need to check the pulsar pick up ( like points for a cdi style ignition) , the coils,and the spark plug caps. If any of these are bad replace them. If all test good then your problem is a bad cdi box.
