Fitting cam chain after replacing piston/rings.
Here's the deal > the chain position on the crankshaft cog makes no difference. No
timing is done on that end. The timing is done when mounting the chain on the
OHC. Run the piston up to
TDC. Put the cam in a position where the cam lobes are pointing downward. Look at the cam gear. There should be two marks on one side of the gear. You should be able to see the marks from the left side of the engine. The cam is in time when the marks are parallel with the top gasket surface of the head and the gear is bolted to the cam. Now you have
TDC compression stroke (good). If the cam lobes were pointing upward you would have
TDC exhaust stroke (bad). Just to help you a bit in the future, I have a web site below where you can see a parts fitch for your specific bike.
You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part, the part is not in stock.

Good morning :
what type of
Your motorcycle comes from Honda usually with 10w-40 mineral base motorcycle oil. You can use any oil that is JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate. 20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Automotive oils use different additives and may cause scoring in certain types of cam bearings. Do not use any oil that says " Energy Conserving " on the label . It will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. If you choose Synthetic oils, they will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. If you want to try an inexpensive full synthetic oil that is JASO MA rated 15w-40 Shell Rotella T Synthetic fits the bill for about $4 to $6 a quart. All brands/manufacturers make a motorcycle oil. Some are very hard to find. Just make sure that the oil you pick has the JASO MA "Japanese Rating" to protect your motorcycle engine, clutch and transmission. If you change your oil regularly you should never have to clean the oil screen. The screen is only designed to pick up big pieces/chunks of metal, so unless there has been a catastrophic event in the motor there should be no debris to remove.
My gz 125 marauder starts sometimes the spark is poor what do you think it is
Start with cleaning and checking the spark gap (reajust to right cap setting) replacing the spark plugs, if that doesn't work then move onto replacing the caps... Thats the cheapest and easiest things to do.
If that doesn't work then look at the coil for loose wiring. If that doesn't come up wth anything then replace the HT leads (unless the HT leads and coil are one unit) and finally it could be a faulty coil and so its a simple, but pricey, thing to replace it...
What is the hight of the float in the carb
if the exact height is not known , a good rule of thumb , is to tilt the carb on its side (with float bowl off) and watch the float to see when its just begins to push on the float valve .... at that point the floats should be level with the sealing face that the bowl bolts up too ....if not , bend the little metal tang till it sits level ..... hope this helps
