Echo when using HS850

Every now and then the person I am calling gets an echo (they hear their voice, I do not hear the echo) when I am calling using the headset. Any ideas why or how to fix this??

hmmm, are you thinking that the person I am calling is getting an echo because they are using a headset??? When I use my headset, the person I am calling is the one getting the echo ( I don't hear it). They are not using a headset...

It's definitely associated with the headset. When I shut it off, they immediately tell me that the echo has stopped. I have never had this complaint with the "normal" phone :)

It might be a problem with their sound setting. If their speakers are on while using the mic, they might get some feedback that could be the cause of the echo. They may even just have to tweak their mic settings (through the control panel sound options or their soundcard options).

So sorry... I thought this was a PC headset not a phone headset. This actually happens to me when i place calls on my phone on occasion as well, with or without a headset. Does the other person only hear the echo when you're using the headset? The broblem may not be with the headset itself, but with the phone.

I hear echo

Are you or the other person using the speaker phone function? Does this happen during conference (3 way) calling? If you're using the speaker phone function, especially during a conference call, you're likely to hear an echo. I've had this very same issue with a different phone and the only solution I found was not to use speaker phone.

Good Luck!

T7316 Dropped calls and voice echo

How are your lines coming in to your phone system?

Generally you get an echo on VoIP lines not set up correctly.

T7316 should not give echo, as it is a digital phone.

Problems with my motorola hs850

Set your volume to mid range. If it continues you'll need to return it or exchange it. The voice pickup sencer in the bluetooth is defective. Or the phone needs an upgrade.

My sound is clear but caller on other end hears a echo of his own voice. HELP?

Its like calling into a radio station going on the air, and having your radio turned up while on the air you will always get an echo. Or at least a delay that other people will hear on their radio. it's the same way, with using a Car Bluetooth because they are hearing their voice coming through the speakers and going back into the microphone and then they hear that and there is your Echo. Unfortunately there is really nothing you can do except for ask them to deal with it :-(

Echo in hs850 headset

You did not say what phone you are using but I found that this problem went away for me when I changed a setting on my blackberry. I turned "encryption" off in the bluetooth settings on my blackberry 7100t and solved the echo problem. Alternatively, there might be a "compression" setting also. This one made no difference for me but might for you on your device. Also, make sure any firmware or software updates for your phone have been applied. On blackberry devices you do this via a PC. On cell phones it usually involves a reset or update from some buried menu options or call to their tech support. good luck.
