Can anyone tell me the color code or wire diagram for my panasonic cq-c7301u, whats the yellow wire for?

In car stereos the industry standard is Yellow = Battery. This wire should connect to the positive end of your cars battery, preferably through a compatible wiring harness. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/benimur/2011-02-20_070305_basic_panasonic_car_stereo_wiring.jpg Here is a diagram. Happy Wiring.

I am attempting to intergrate my aftermarket stereo with my 2004 buick century (without onstar) and I do not want to spend the money on an adapter. I have the wiring diagram to let me know which wire are...

It sounds as if you are trying to hardwire the aftermarket stereo into the factory wiring which is a bad idea if you are going to cut the plug off the factory harness. An aftermarket harness does not cost that much money, especially in comparison to your car. If you insist on damaging the factory wiring, and all but ensuring you'll have to leave that radio in the car when you try to sell it, nobody will stop you. The nearly universal color codes for aftermarket radio wires is as follows. Front left +/- White, White/Black. Front Right +/- Grey, Grey/Black, Rear left +/- Green, Green/Black, Rear Right +/- Purple, Purple/Black. Yellow is your 12 volt constant (battery), Red is ignition, blue is power antenna (if your car has a power antenna), blue with white strip is amp turn on (if you are going to use an external amp). I wouldn't suggest using illumination and dimmer wires (orange/white and orange) because they have been known to cause damage to people's instrument clusters and other interior lighting, but proceed at your own risk there. Again, it would really be better to just spend a few dollars and get an aftermarket harness--this is what they're designed for, so that you don't cut up your cars factory harness (which are very expensive if they ever need to be replaced, and I imagine you'd want to put the factory radio back in once you get rid of the car, because nobody will pay extra for your aftermarket radio, and most people buying a used car want everything factory so it feels like a new car to them, instead of a reminder that someone else had the car before. Just think about it, but aside from that, I hope the information will be useful to you.

Bought a panasonic radio model # CQ-4400U did not have a wire diagram with it

You can find a generic color code diagram for most/all aftermarket car stereos (including Panasonic) here:

http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Wiring_files/audio_wiring.jpg

This picture should cover just about everything. If the picture has a wire that your stereo doesn't, just ignore it. Not all stereos have all color wires, and some stereos have colors or RCA jacks or plugs that aren't in the diagram. Those are usually connectors for amplifiers, CD changers, satellite radio, or something like that. The basics should all be included in this diagram though. Good luck!

No wiring diagram

the red wire is on and off, the yellow is live, black is ground, blue is amp turn on, brown is suppose to go to the e-brake. the four speakers are gray, purple, green, and white (one is all (color)(+) the other is (color) with a black line(-))

the rest should be self explanatory, also you can go to any stereo shop and get a universal radio hook up harness and just match up the colors and plug it in, very simple.

I need to install it to my camry 93

Hello capello,

Here's a link to the Camry color codes:

http://www.modifiedlife.com/1993-toyota-camry-car-radio-stereo-wiring-diagram/

If you do not want to cut or tap into the vehicle wiring, you should buy an aftermarket adapter harness and splice the wires from it and from your Panasonic CQ-C1100U together.

The Scosche part number for your Camry is TA02RB. Wiring harnesses are also made by Metra and others. Here's a link to the Scosche part:

Hope this helps.

Not for sure which is the hot and which is the ground wire.

Solid black is always ground on aftermarket head units. Red is usually the ignition wire, ie when you turn your car on, your stereo turns on. Hot or positive is usually yellow and usually the biggest wire
