  • Col NR Kurup Dec 29, 2007

My problem is not solved. I have purchased 6 months back from Abu Dhabi an HP Printer "HP PSC 1500 All-in-One series" My present problem is that its cartridge "T-132 Black" is not available in Kerala. My only solution is to recycle the used cartride. But when ink is filled it leaks badly that by the time I reach home hardly any ink left. Can you kindly help me so that I don't have to throw away my 6 months old brand new printer just because I cannnot get ink

Alignment problem. just refilled black ink cartridge..seeing message that printer is not aligned and remove tape from cartridge, but i see no tape

1) remove the cartridge and check it is not leaking. If it is, the printhead area on cart will be flooded with ink. Removing couple of ml from cart will stop it leaking.
2) If the cart looks clean (not leaking), stamp the printhead on some folded tissue paper or paper towell. It should leave a solid black stripe about 10mm long on the tissue. If it doesn't, your refill ink hasn't quite reached the printhead. You can blow little air into the breather hole (on top) to prime the printhead. Stop blowing when ink starts leaking at the printhead.
Clean the cartridge up before installing it.
3) If all above is ok and it still doesn't align properly, repeat above steps with the colour cartridge. The printer needs all colours working to perform the alignment process.

good luck with it

After refilling ink cartridge no ink registers in the cartridge and will not print

you may have a bad head on the cartridge. you should only refill the a few times as the heads get bad on the cartridges after a while. i stopped refiling and just but them you are not only playing for the ink but you also pay for the print head on the cartridge and there not that much/ or have a retailer refil it for you but they will only do it once per cartridge.

How to refill ink in hp blck cartridge

  • Purchase an ink refill kit at an office supply store. (Staples, Walmart, and Costco all carry this inexpensive kit. It usually costs about half the price of an average printer cartridge.)
  • Gather your kit, a roll of paper towels, and some clear scotch tape together on a large flat working surface, a table or desk.
  • 3Remove the empty cartridge from your printer. (Remember to close your printer lid or door while you are working.)
  • 4Cover your hands with a pair of disposable plastic gloves while you work with the messy ink.
  • 5Take a paper towel and fold it in half twice. Work over the paper towel to catch any leaking ink.
  • 6Place the empty cartridge on it.
  • 7Read the instruction manual included with the refill kit to learn how to refill your particular type of cartridge. (The following instructions are just a general guide).
  • 8Locate the fill holes on the top of the cartridge. The depressions can be felt by rubbing your finger across the label.
  • 9Use a sharp pencil to pierce the refill holes in the top of the ink cartridge. (Correct places can also be found in the kit instructions).
  • 10In addition to black, there are three colors of ink: magenta, cyan, and yellow. Follow the kit instructions on which hole to insert each color OR push a toothpick into the holes to identify the colours as markings on the printer cartridge are sometimes there to fool you into putting the wrong colours into the cartridge ink chambers.
  • 11Insert the long needle on the refill ink bottle into the correct hole.
  • 12Slowly, add the ink. Carefully watch to be sure that you do not over-fill.
  • 13Stop quickly as soon as you see a bit of ink oozing out of the hole. Without letting go of the bottle, slowly release the air, sucking a little ink back out of the ink cartridge, before you remove the needle completely.
  • 14Carefully daub the cartridge contacts on the paper towel, you should see a splotch of the ink leaking out onto the paper towel.
  • 15Cover the hole with a small piece of clear scotch tape. (This works better than the seal dots included in the kit.) Make sure that no ink is leaking out of the top holes. (That's where the clear tape comes in handy.) Be careful not to cross contaminate the colors.
  • 16Repeat steps 11-15 for each ink color.
  • 17After you have refilled all three colors, carefully blot (don't wipe or rub) the cartridge printhead on a folded piece of paper towel. You may need to do this several times. Do this until it stops bleeding and you see an even stripe of three colors showing up on the towel.
  • 18If the blot shows the colors either faded or not at all, blot on wet paper towel and again on dry, to get the ink flowing.
  • 19Replace the ink cartridge into the printer. Never, ever install a leaking print cartridge.
  • 20Immediately print something, anything, just to get the ink flowing. Print several test pages, preferable photos with a lot of different colors.
  • 21Follow the cleaning or priming cycles for your specific printer.

I bought ink refill, how do I get the printer to accept it?

HI Pauline, I have used ink refills in the past and they are bad news, they are painful refilling the cartridge and will mess up your printer with small leaks, I advise you to buy a new cartridge from the printer manufacturer or a proven generic cartridge for your printer. I hope this help you. Let me know.

Refill inkcartridge 17 of lexmark x2250 don't work

“Lexmark does not support the refilling of its ink cartridges. Refilling the ink cartridges can cause them to leak, thus clogging or even damaging the print head. Any damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges may not be covered under warranty”. Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.

    Cartridge? problem

If you are using or have used third party generic ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges, the Cartridge Sensor printed circuit board may have been damaged. We have found that some third party generic ink cartridges leak onto the ink cartridge sensor circuit board causing an electrical short of the ink cartridge sensors. The damage from the leaked ink results in the machine displaying NO CARTRIDGE because the machine will no longer recognize the installed ink cartridge(s). Genuine Brother ink cartridges do not cause this issue because of the unique design developed to fit specifically in the Brother products. As long as a Brother cartridge has not been refilled, the Brother cartridge will not leak.

    Flashing ink refill light

Sometimes refilling them over and over doesn't work well. Once ok...but i suggest that you buy a new cartridge. I know that they are expensive but it will help. Also take some Rubbing alchohol and a q-tip...clean inside where the cartridge sits..that will help...this is for sure a bad ink cartridge
