What speakers can be plugged into a 46 inch samsung lcd tv and still use the tv remote for audio control of the external speakers? I purchased the Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track speaker system model # HT-SB1. the TV remote control does not control the speaker for this model. Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. You can select the option at its sound menu. Get it, and select 'External speakers' which in turn switch off the internal speaker, and bypass the signal to the external speaker. But; the you can't bypass the audio output, but the audio signal output from the back of the TV to any external amplifier or so. If you've any doubt, contact any technician. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
sounds like you have it set correctly..do you have any other sources than external,(such as audio out) ?If so that should solve your problem...does the system have any other connection outs, such as red white audio cables (LR audio )? You can use them as external when the optical is unplugged...if you get sound you either have a bad optical cord or the output for it is defective..good luck GOD BLESS
by audio speakers i assume you mean speakers that you plug INTO the tv, some tv's if you plug in speakers they play instantly but some tv's you might have to go under the menu ON the tv so just bring up menu, click on audio, and it should say some where to swith to external speakers then while with speakers pluged in select external speaker (or whatever your tv might say) and i hope that solves your problem, thank you, jamie.
Go to Menu from remote.
Select "Audio" and confirm "Internal" speakers vs. "External". Internal is the built in speaker sna external is when you are using a surround sound or reciever for audio.
Check this and follow up.
The proper way to do this would be to use the audio output from the TV, either analogue left and right or the optical port, and send it into an dedicated amplifier or AV receiver. You can then use the amplifier or receiver to power the external speakers. If you are using a dedicated amplifier with no volume control you will want to change the audio output setting on the TV to "variable out" as oppose to its current "fixed out"settings. You can find this in the TV menu, usually under the audio settings. This will allow you to use the current TV remote to adjust the audio volume coming out of the external speakers.
First try hooking up a different source such as a DVD player or Cable box and see if you have audio. If you do then check the audio output from the computer. If you do not have audio then make sure the tv audio is up half way and turn off the set. When you do this you should hear the down chime provided you have the chime turned "on". If you do not hear the down or up chime then the sudio circuits on the Main bd are bad and the Main bd will have to be replaced. A quick way to check to see if the audio circuits are working is to listen for the up or down chime when turning on of off the set coming from the tv speakers speakers.
Some models have a volume limit setting, check the MENU and look at the audio settings.
If this has external speakers use other speakers. If it has audio output connect them to a external amp and useing the remote adjust the volume. Check if audio settings are set to internal, external and fixed or vairable output.
