Sergers are not really meant to sew very thick material. The blades have a maximum amount of range, or thickness that they can reach to cut. If you go outside that range, get ready for a big repair bill! You can break loopers and even the needle plate when you "push" a serger. My advise would be to use you sewing machine for the, "pounding" work. The type of material matters too, A thick Quilt like fabric can be sewn becatuse it's not dense material. A thinner harder denim could max out at 3 layers because of it"s hard finish. If the fabric you're sewing isn't dense like, you could just need new knives.

You could also not use the blade, that will help it not to bunch up so much.

What does it mean when it says main motor overload please wait

If it's a Huskylock Serger it means the machine is in a "bind," possibly think fabric, etc. The motor is "overloaded" and shuts down. If it continues after serving for a short time on normal fabric the motor needs to be rebuilt or replaced. See a local Viking Service Tech for repair or motor replacement.

If it is a Sewing/Embroidery Machine it may still be an issue with the motor but could also be the main control board or power supply. Again see a local Viking Service tech for repair.

I have a Husqvarna serger and when I try to serge and cut through 3 thicknesses of sweatshirt fleece it won't cut. I have replaced the cutter and it still won't cut. The same happens when I sew on polar...

I really need to know what kind of serger you have , if it is the 905 910 or the 936 series take a look at the large headed screw that holds the knife in place. if you are doing fleece it will cause a lot of build up of lint behind this screw and not allow the knife to go all the way up and down causing it not to cut multi layers of fabric, and if this is the case it probably needs to go the an authorized tech for a thorough cleaning

I need to buy a new speed controller for my overlock sewing machine. Husqvarna Viking Husky Lock 905 any help pls. i need to know how much will it cost me and if it is possible to ship to Malta, Europe.

Should not be a problem to ship internationally. Contact an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. They should be able to order one for you and give you a price before ordering. Also be sure to tell them the power requirements in case it is different from the USA/Canada. Check Husqvarna Viking website for dealer closest too you.

Can't get machine to pull up bobbin thread

This is a hook/needle timing issue. It will need to be adjusted by an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer or they can send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept in Tennessee for them to do the repair. A list of authorized dealers is available at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.

My viking serger 905 wont cut

Sometimes the blades need to be adjusted. Lower them all the way manually to the bottom. The cutters if you look on the side should meet. If they don't' meet or if there is a small space then the upper cutter needs to be lowered.
There are screws that hold this in place. You might need a man to help since the screws on my machine are very tight!
