Code 10 went thru the process with conecting to computor --says not connected--code 10   anyone--code 10??

The "U" means Network communications. The 1000 means the same thing. Translation: computor and/or computor conections.

Did you change the battery?

Have you got a wireless router? If so some of them will make u hook the main computer up directly while the other computer will just need to turn on wireless capabilities.

I've done several of these swaps that sound good at the time but end up being a Huge problem.I would start with the correct harness for the engine you've put in.It must include the under hood harness and what ever harness connects to it thru the firewall to the computer.You'll also need everything connected to the transmission to the computer including any thing connected with the brake and accelerator pedals.Next get the wiring diagrams from Jeep or buy the Chilton or Haynes manual,they have the diagrams included.Get the harnesses connected to the engine,trans and computer,then work backward towards hooking up everything else.I really feel your pain,I've put 20 year newer engines in older cars,V-8's where 6's were,an olds V-8 where a in-line six was(ford),Late model v-8 in a 59' Chevy.All these were simple compared to what your going thru.Please contact me if I can be of any help?

FIRSTLY TRY INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE ALSO MAKESURE YOU SERVICE PACK FOR XP IS UPTO DATE THE FINAL VERSION IS SERVICE PACK 3 WHICH IS FREE FROM MICROSOFT THROUGH WINDOWS UPDATE ALSO GOOGLE AROUND WITH( XP SERVICE PACK 3 DOWNLOAD) ALSO TRY YOUR FATHERS WEB CAM ON YOUR COMPUTOR AND CHECK YOUR ATTATCHMENTS

you might have to set up the nic card in the machine. set it to a static IP address (not DHCP), then ping it from a PC..
If you can ping it, then instalation should find it!

you should have.
One broadband Modem...
One Router which all pcs and machine's are connected to...
do ipconfig/all to figure out the pcs IP address, arp -a shows the arp table. determine what IP address to give the machine.
the machine should have a nic card with a light on it, if that light is green when you connect the cable, then the nic card is working.
then proceed to install the drivers to the PCs.

yes, you must set up all information in the installion process or anyone can use the connection just press the reset button (if there is one) and install again.
