Hi,
I've had my machine for 2 years and have not used the embroidery unit very often. I embroidered a week ago fine but when I tried to embroider today, the embroidery unit does nothing . It will not move. The unit does not initialize. It's as if the unit doesn't recognize it is connected. I also receive the error message..... "If hoop is attached, remove the hoop from the carriage. Tun off power switch on machine. Turn on the switch again to move the carriage to machine3 standby position. Attach the small hoop with the power switch turned on." I've followed this instruction but the same error shows up. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

This problem has to be with the communication between the arm and the main machine. Make sure the arm is leveled, to do so, very careful move the arm higher or lower, this creates the connection between the arm and machine. When I find where the off level is I put a thick cardstock folded in half under the arm. When the communication is successful and the machine is on hooked to the computer the embroidery arm should move.
i checked my level and it is fine. it is like my arm will not latch on....????
i have a futura 250 ce (singer)
It may look level. If this is the problem, try to raise the arm a little while is connected. If this is the problem the machine hoop attachment will make a sound. I will try to make a video in UT next week for detaisl.

My machine did the same thing. I had several frustrated nights ans then it just started to work. Some suggestions that I had was that there may be dust where the units connect. Not sure what I did, but it worked.

I have the same problem...it will work for a while and then stop again. I need help as I have to embroider about thirty shirts for a sporting team and am getting highly frustrated.

When ready to embroider it keeps saying attach hoop when hoop is properly attached.
futura software is reporting a hoop is smaller than design
