LG Trax Phone - headset adaptor

Hi,
My son has an LG Trax phone and we purchased an LG headset adaptor for 2.5 & 3.5 mm headset jacks. When he plugs it in with earphones, the music still comes out of the phone and not the earphones. What do we need to do or change?

I recently bought a similar adapter for my trax and had the same problem. Taking the plastic cover off of the adapter, I found the following on the back of the 18 pin connecter: a jumper from pin1 to pin 11, a jumper from pin 9 to pin 10. audio l and r wires to pins 14 and 15, common audio wire to pin 18 and unconnected pin at pin17. By accident, I found that if the unconnected pin 17 bent over to touch the wire to pin 14, the headphones started working. So, solder a wire to connect pin 14 to 17 reinsert these pins into the correct slots and you have a working adapter.

Hi brentcopeman,
U would say yes this is the case. Nearly all mobile phones have a 2.5mm headphone jack up to the newest smartphones and walkmans that have been in production on the last year or 2 some of which use the standard headphone jack size.
I might add that if you have headphones that you like already to buy one of these:

That way you can use the headphones you already have and insert them into the phone using the adapter and don't have the added cost of new headphones unnecessarily.

My phone is stuck in "Car Kit" mode. How do I get rid of it? What caused it?

hi jet8898 you need get a headset jack and stick the plug in the jack plug This will take it out of car kit mode. Now take the battery out and put it back in the phone. you need to rest the phone. after battery is back in the phone should be back in normal mode.

I need the pinout for the Avaya 2400 series telephone headset RJ-11 Jack.

I noticed that Avaya headset is different from the Avaya handset or any other standard headset: The outer two pins are switched.

Avaya-Headset-pinning is like this:
Look to the RJ11 and turn it until you see leads from top and from front, then from left to right you look at
1) mic 5V
2) speak
3) speak
4) mic gnd

RJ11 of Avaya-handset and any standard headset/handset from the supermarket:
1) mic gnd
2) speak
3) speak
4) mic 5V

How do i conect my lg renoir to my i speakers via a 3mm jack plug

usually renoir (kc 910) comes with a 3.5mm adaptor, it's a part of the 'headset' (handsfee). It's not clear if you are thinking of purchasing a 910 or already have one. It should come with one, otherwise contact lg, you will probably need to buy the whole headset though. hope this helps

My lg dare has no audio i cant hear or be heard, I cant even hear the dial tone, how can i fix it? I am having the same problem with my dare. I tried plugging in headphones but it didnt help. I can hear...

You probably plugged a headset that does not have a mic. after you unplug it your phone will think that the head set is still plugged in. these phones are stupid and after you unplug the headset it will still be looking for the mic. Plug in and out the headset rapidly and then your phone will give you a notice saying that there is no mic to the headset. this will fix your problem. P.S. keep insisting, this fixed my problem

I think my phone is too old to hook up to the amplifier.

My co-worker fiddled around for a bit and finally we made it work. He plugged the amplifier into the jack for the phones handset, and then plugged the handset into the phone.

The headset we then plugged into the amp. This seems so simple, it would be great if I had been told this by our tech cupport team, maybe we would have had it hooked up sooner.

If you are using the headset jack on the phone, a headset key needs to be programmed on the the phone. You can do this in program mode and make a line key a headset key. Otherwise you must connect it through the handset. ldtsnj.com
