Well I think that the internet is down from your ISP side
Did you try to call the internet service provider ? Your ISP must be DSL .
with the message " ue Mar 09 13:06:51 2004 PPP network down [INFO] Tue Mar 09 13:06:51 2004 WAN interface is down [INFO] "
It seems that the internet is down on the modem.

I have the tew 639gr and it just doesn't seem to like pppoe connections. I went through so much with my isp about my dsl dropping the connection, and replacing it with my old router as the gateway is the only thing that stopped the dropped connections. I tried messing with the settings and did a firmware upgrade but the trendnet still would not hold my connection.

I bought a tew 639gr and it just flat out doesn't play nice with a pppoe connection. At first I thought my isp was dropping the connection, but the only thing that stopped it was putting my old linksys back as the gateway. I tried upgrading the firmware of the trendnet and played with different settings for weeks to no avail.

How do I set up a secure password?

For trendnet

Your Trendnet wireless router lets you broadcast your home network across your entire house, so you can access the Internet in any room. This signal may be powerful enough to extend into neighbors' houses, where they could easily jump on the network if it is unsecured. To protect your network, set up Wireless Encryption Protocol, or WEP, to encrypt data and prevent access unless the user enters the correct password.

Type "http://192.168.0.1" in your Internet browser's address bar and press "Enter." Enter "admin" for the username and leave the password field blank. Click "Log In" to log into your Trendnet wireless router's administrative program. Click "Wireless" from the left pane of the "Basic" tab. Click "WEP" under the "Wireless Security Mode" section at the bottom of the screen. Enter your preferred password for the network. A strong password is made up of a random selection of numbers and letters. Click "Save Settings" at the top of the screen to save your WEP settings.

No internet on TEW-672 GR (TrendNet) Router after i resettted it

once you have reset the router back to factory settings(using the pinhole at the back of the router and not just restart), you have to re-enter or re-configure your router for the internet connection depending upon your Internet Service Provider. Please contact your Internet Service Provider for the settings, use the CD that came with the router and re-enter the settings, once done, just turn off the router and turn it again. The internet will work.
The settings should be
  1. The connection type - PPPoe or PPPoA (ATM)
  2. Log in details for your ISP (username and password)
These are the two main settings, apart from these, some more settings could be provided by your internet service provider. if they do not provide it, reply with your country, the name of your Internet Service Provider(like AT&T or Verizon etc)

Trendnet router will not give a wireless signal, Wi-fi on laptop is enabled, direct connection from modem to laptop will give internet connection. Tryed unplugging everything, resetting it. Nothing I know...

1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop/desktop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

I have a trendnet wireless router tew 432brp, a new hp windows 7 laptop, and old xp laptop and i want to share the connection with my verizon um175 aircard. this has worked for several years with the old...

The router connects computers together . You are using a windows 7 p.c and connecting it to an internet connection via a usb verizon um175 aircard.
I think you need to share the internet connection with the rest of the network and may need to feed the ethernet cable into the feed port of the router. I have not done this before but logically the windows 7 computer would have to act as a gateway to the internet.

http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-7/how-to-share-an-internet-connection-in-windows-7/

https://www.ibvpn.com/billing/knowledgebase/53/Internet-Connection-Sharing-on-Windows-7.html

Note the default gateway is going to have to be the windows 7 ip address on the other computers
You may need to set the ip address on windows 7 to a static address and then change the dhcp server settings default gateway and also increase the first address to not include the windows 7 ip address or the routers ip address in the lease range for shcp.

Router failed

I assume that all lights are on as normal on the router.

Check the System light.

SYSTEM
This indicator blinks green means the Internet Broadband Router is
working successful. Otherwise, this indicator always on or off means the function of the Internet Broadband Router is in a fail state.

If the System light is either always on or off go to step 3 below, otherwise start at step 1.

1. power down router and wait 30 seconds and power up.

Try connecting via 192.168.1.1 then 192.168.0.1 if NO do step 2.

2. disable any firewall programs on the PC

Try connecting via 192.168.1.1 then 192.168.0.1 if NO do step 3.

3. do a factory reset of the router. on the rear panel of the router there should be a small hole with a small button maarked RESET. if you press this in for 10 seconds it should RESET router to FACTORY settings.

Try connecting via 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 if NO then the router firmware is possibly corrupt or there is some other hardware fault.

Can't get Trendnet TEW-432 router to connect to internet with motorola modem

I had this same problem. I was going to go ahead and call ATT and ask them to put my modem into bridge mode, but I messed around a bit more....

I went ahead and turn on PPPoE...tried to run the set up again. Well it worked. Not the internet connection is working through the modem. For some reason, the setup changed PPPoE back to DHCP Client, but it's working now. Give this a shot before calling ATT if you like. Good luck.
