Iron spits out rusty water. The iron is a Rowenta

I tried to take apart a rowenta for my neighbor-Basically it is GLUED TOGETHER and is basically non repairable unless returned to vendor who repairs tge ho get them reglued! Weird!!!!!

It looks like the cord has a loose connection and will need to be replace.

Check or replace fuse in plug. If that don't do it, then change fuse inside iron. Make sure iron is not plugged to supply.

A small amount of White vinegar or some diluted dishwasher scale cleaner (calgon) added to the steam water then run it on steam setting ironing some waste fabric untill spotless.

it is possible that there is a loss in contact in the iron you will need a local repairs man to do that for you

I have taken one of these completely apart and found it is glued together except for the platinum plate on the bottom. It is held on by circular lock clips and will break w/o proper tool. I see no way to repair these and the cost of sending in will probably be as expensive as a new one. I have seen them at Lowes and TuesdayMorning for about $100.00. Have tried to get a repair manual from Rowenta-good luck!

replace the iron as not worth fixing.
