Coffee Beans were roasted by local business, believe they were either not roasted enough or over roasted causing the problem, I have since tried Supermarket(Vittoria Roasted Beans) and machine is working perfectly.
Thankyou

I have a saeco royal my machine is grinding beans but will not stop

Your question is not right.
Grinder stops on its own in 16 to 18 seconds (times out).
It may not be grinding beans an spinning free because the beans are not feeding.
You may have used oily beans or set the grind fineness at very fine powder like. This powder like fineness also clogs the grinder..
You need to clean the grinding chamber and the ground coffee outlet.

My Saeco Odea Go coffee machine grinder screw rotates with on beans but does not rotate when beans are added. Motor sounds like its working.

There are different possibilities for your problem. First the motor might be damaged and is more weak than before that is why is stop when it need to grind beans. In this case only with replacement motor can solve the problem.

Second probably due to long use of oily coffee or low quality coffee beans or other reason there are coffee grounded in the grinder that become like rubber and does not leave the new coffee to pass through grinding burrs. For this either you have to dismantle the whole grinder and its burrs and clean them with brush or you can use a new magic product that you can fin in eBay it can clean automatically the grinder in 30 second see it at the link

You can try the above fist and you may solve the problem in minutes if not then you can proceed with the replacement of the ginder burrs or motor.

My Saeco Vienna Black Automatica Espresso maker will grind coffee only about one-fourth of the time. Other times, it makes whirring sound and then shuts off and red "coffee bean" light comes on.

Your grind is to fine. Turn the big knob in the bean hopper up 4 clicks and try again. It could be oily beans which would require the same solution.

Saeco royal cappuccino coffee machine beans container empty fault

Hi
More than likely your grind is to fine. Push the lever back 1 # larger(Higher #). If you want stronger coffee, push the doser lever on the door to the back then pull forward 1 click.

Beans won't grind

Try cleaning out the grinder with the instruction for this link: http://www.cerinicoffee.com/Saeco_technical_documents.asp

Polyglot, if you have done this already it sounds like there is something wrong with the grinder switch on your machine. You will have to get the machine serviced.

We service saeco espresso machines based out of New York.
Checkout our website for more information: www.CeriniCoffee.com

Youngie,

Your problem is not the same as Polyglot. Try cleaning out the grinder using the link above. It works 50% of the time. For some reason your machine is not grinding. Common reasons are water has been accidentally spilled in the bean hopper or the grinder just has a problem and needs to be addressed.

In the case where water spills into the bean hopper you may need to change the grinder burrs. (http://cerinicoffee.com/Grinder_burrs_saeco_gaggia.asp)

Hope this helps.

Incanto de Luxe always tells me there are no beans in container

I do have the same problem.

I have removed and cleaned the grinder mechanism.

Being an electronic technician I did have a look and tried to find what method they use to detect that the new beans reservoir is empty and I did not see any kind of detector.

I suspect that they monitor the motor current to do this. If it is so would'n it be possible to desable this fonction since it is more then evident when the reservoir is empty or about to be?

Any body knows how they do monitor the status of the new beans reservoir?

The machine won't start up

in the self test does it flush the unit ? If not you have to prime the unit by allowing it to pump hot water through the frothing valve. Open the valve and the pump should pulse water out. After this the machine should indicate it is in the operating mode for coffee

Coffee beans empty

Try changing the beans to a different brand I had this same problem with the brands that were around $30 a kilo but not with the cheaper ones. They seem to clump together and not drop in to feed the grinder. It could be that you just need to adjust either the internal or external grinder settings also.
