Where can I obtain a battery pack model BP40 (4.8V-550mAh) in Vancouver area? This is for a UNIDEN GMRS 2-way radio model 025B 74002113

Most Unidens are reset by holding down 2-4-9 at same time turning it on. Or just 2-9 an the turning unit on at same time.

the 'privacy tones' need to be either A) disabled on both or B) set to the same code here's the manual

Uniden are a good brand, so with that try this:

Join yahoo group SPECIFIC to your radio Make/Model, the techs there will help you with your query, don't be afraid to ask as many questions as possible, but it's alway good if you give them as much info as possible in return. You can download manuals, diagrams and other goodies for your radio. All that and it's FREE.

It does not appear (based on the manufactuer's website) that the charging cradle for the Uniden GMR638 is compatible with any other radio models.

You may not be able to purchase another GMR638 if you only want a single radio to replace the one that was dropped. The current trend is for manufacturers to bundle consumer two-way radios in packs of two, three or four since most users do not purchase single radios.

If you definitely want to get the exact same model you might have to either purchase another two-pack or contact the manufacturer directly to see if they have single units available. Otherwise, any 22 channel FRS/GMRS combo radio should be able to communicate with your Uniden radios.
