I can get the DP 301U to work perfectly, but it takes out my ability to connect to the internet. If I fix up the IP address for the computer (....101 vs ....10 for the server), the computer works fine, the printer is listed as connected through that port, but it won't print. (Using XP home on an AMD based machine)
I was able to solve this but it won't let me post here. sttmh01 --- hotmail.com if you still need the answer.
This happened when I tried to install my DP-301U also. It turned out to be a problem with the DHCP on my router. Here is how I got around this.
1. Set the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties back to 'Obtain an IP address automatically' and make sure you can still access the internet.
2. Go to the setup utility for your router. Find something that says something like 'Starting IP Address: 192.168.1.100 Maximum number of DHCP users: 50' (these are Linksys default settings). This gives you a range of available IP addresses that you can use. Write this down.
3. At a command prompt (start --> run --> command) type IPCONFIG. Write down the IP address, Subnet mask and Default gateway.
4. Go to the setup utility for the print server (the default is 192.168.0.10). Select the 'Configuration' tab across the top and the 'Network' button along the left.
5. In the IP Address section select 'Manually Assign'. Fill in an IP address that is within the range of available IP addresses from step 2 (IMPORTANT: Write down the IP address you picked). Fill in the subnet mask and default gateway from step 3.
6. From here you can continue the instructions to add the printer substituting the IP address you chose for the default listed in the book.

I set up the print server based on the disk instructions, once it is set up to print, I am unable to access the wireless internet.
