Thankyou for your help ive took the back right off and theres 3 lamps red green and white, i bought this samsung 42in rear projection 2nd hand it worked absolutely fine the first nite i got it then yesterday morning i turned it on and the colour went bright then went off, the picture went totally black but there was sound, i left it on all day yesterday and last nite it started flickering the picture was cuming on then back off, i turned it off n went 2 bed, this morning i turned it on n it came on perfect for about 5mins then flickerd n went off for the last 3hours its been cuming on n off its as if its trying 2 stay on but somthings not letting it can any1 help..this is the model number SP42W5HFX.. thank you..cheryl

These blinks of LEDs are fault indications. If you wish to get more details about these blinking codes, check this link. The details are there. It is very difficult to include all those details in tables here by this window.

hello when you replace the lamps make sure you fitted the lamp securely and make sure the lamps cover fitted securely aswell

I would suggest replacing the Lamp

Sounds like the lamp in the projector is staring to go. Projector lamps tend to go greenish when the bulb is starting to go. Unfortuntally they can be quite expensive to replace but they do last for around 10,000 hours.

Trailer socket pin1 (yellow) to left hand indicator (Black/White) at L/H Lamp, Pin2 (blue) to fog (Grey/White) at R/H Lamp, Pin3 (white) to Chassis Earth, Pin4 (green) to right hand indicator (Black/Green) at R/H Lamp, Pin5 (brown) to right hand side light (Grey/Red) at R/H Lamp, Pin6 (red) to brake (Black/Red) at either Rear Lamp, and finally Pin7 (black) to left hand side light (Grey/Black) at L/H Lamp.

Is Your correct model number a zenith R57W46? If it is your set doesnt have a lamp. Its a CRT projection so you have 3 CRT (picture tubes) RED GREEN an BLUE

Time to replace the lamp

I would check the CRT socket module for Cracked solder joints. If not you may be in the early stages of the CRT shorting, If so you will need a new CRT.
