SOURCE: hoover turbine replacement

first you must remove the dirty water tank then the nozzle window on top of the machine. (this is the clear piece that the dirty water is sucked through.) then remove all 8 screws from the bottom along with the 1 screw on the main housing. after all this the top housing will be snapped into the base at two spots in the rear of the upper housing. when these are loose the housing should be out. you will find the turbine in the front along with 2 more screws and 2 hoses that also must come off. attach new part and reassemble.
good luck!!!

SOURCE: Brushes not rotating on my Hoover Steam Vac Dual

The brushes are all connected to a single shaft. This square shaft is connected to 2 sets of gears and then another shaft which is turned by an impeller (suction from the vaccum pump is used to turn the impell and thus the brushes). There are 2 bearings that the impeller shaft turns on. It's likely these are rusted up and just need a bit of WD 40. Took me 30 min to take apart, lube, and put back together. Remember, its plastic. If things won't come apart, look for another screw. Mine was a brand new unit and the top bearing was rusted.

SOURCE: Hoover SteamVac Dual V Carpet Cleaner # F7410-900

"I did some research online and the recurrent theme was a bad turbine assembly. Fortunately I was able to fix this myself which took about 2 hours (some reading) and little effort. The problem was with the turbine which is fairly simple and had a bearing that had rusted and froze up. Removing the cover proved to be more difficult than fixing the stuck bearing. This was mostly due to figuring out the correct screws to remove and finally discovering that the back of the cover (over the wheels) is not secured by fasteners but by pegs that "pop" out.

Once I had the brush assembly and Cover removed the turbine came out with the removal of some obvious screws and gently pulling the hoses from the assembly. After carefully opening the assembly housing I discovered the bearing problem and with a little lubrication and some new grease had it working in short order. Putting everything back together was simple as well."

this worked for me. although once i got in i just had to mess around with the gears and loosen them up. getting in was the hard part soo here you go peoples.

take off tanks

unscrew 6 screws fom underneath machine. look carefully

just underneath where the dirty tank goes right by the part that sucks everything up is a screw. unscrew it

pop off the switch for your spin scrub mode. it pops right back on.

make sure your locks for the tank are turned in

then the back just pops off. you might have to give it a good tug. there are no screws although it maight look like there is.

then pull off the grey part.

once inside it is pretty easy.

but if you have any questionbs email at [email protected]

i took off so many more screws than i needed to to get this figured out so dont do that.

SOURCE: hoover stean vac dual with 5 brushes

I think this is the same unit I have, I might have a couple of solutions. No, there is not a belt that turns the brushes and there is not a fuse.
First of all, make sure the brushes have been clicked into the machine properly. The entire plastic housing unit for the brushes can be removed by pulling on the casing gently. It should pop out. Make sure the pegs and clips line up with the holes in the machine when reattaching the brushes. You should hear it click when they are on properly.
If the brushes are attached properly and they still won't spin here is another possible solution. This happened to mine.
The plastic pegs on the housing unit for the brushes might have been stripped out. The pegs are supposed to be squared tip to click into the square hole of the machine. If the pegs aren't the same shape as the hole, the machine can't grab them to spin the brushes.
The tallest peg on mine somehow got stripped to a rounded shape. I tried wrapping tape, plastic, etc around the peg to make it fit in the hole snug, but it only worked for a few seconds and broke again. I am going to have to replace the brush set. You can order parts from Hoover but I haven't priced them yet.
I hope this helps you.

Free user manual for Hoover power path max

What is the model number of the carpet cleaner?

Home Depot has the manual for the Hoover Power Path Max FH51002 on the product page: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hoover-Power-Path-Max-Upright-Carpet-Cleaner-FH51002/300984357 . The direct link to the manual is https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfimages/e8/e81b1250-323a-4f1d-a23a-e4c319568399.pdf . In the manual, the model is called the Dual Power Path Max.

Hoover lists 3 Dual Power Path Max and 8 Power Path models on their manuals page: https://www.hoover.com/manual-video-search/ . The Power Path Max carpet cleaners do not show up with this search engine without adding Dual at the front of the search query.

I hope this helps.

Where is the beater brush on a hoover max extract dual v

It does not have a beater bar. Under the front nozzle assembly is the brush block assembly which has 5 Or 6 rotating brushes which help to disperse the water and agitate the carpet.

I have a model f7411900 steam vac from Hoover and it started making a loud noise like a broken belt does in a vacuum. Does this have a replacement bely

Open the product, make sure first that it is not something stuck inside. If it is a belt, check with amazon. Just make sure that you have the correct model.

Brushes on my hoover spinscrub model F7411900 wont spin

vanger cheva in post 1 got the correct answer. I just disassembled my f7411900 with some difficulty and took the turbine apart. Sure enough the bearing on the shaft was froze from rust. I was able to free it up in a vice and screw driver big enough to grab and turn the middle of the bearing. I used 3-1 oil and it now is smooth again. Not sure for how long. It was then I found the instructions by vanger above. There is no belt in this unit. The turbine is driven by water that turns the brushes.

What setting do I need to have the machine on to **** up the excess water? I want to download the manual but can't seem to find a link to do so, how would I do that?

You should have the vacuum set to Wash/Rinse for all steps in cleaning. Press the trigger to release the cleaning solution and push the vacuum forward. With the trigger still pressed, bring the vacuum back towards you). Then release the trigger and again move the vacuum forward and then back. Repeat the "dry" strokes until the dirty water enters the dirty water tank. Watch the water going through the dirty water tank lid. Empty the dirty water tank if the suction fails or the tone changes. Do more dry strokes after cleaning the entire surface until you do not see more water entering the dirty water tank.

The manual is available from Hoover at the product site: http://hoover.com/products/details/f7411900/max-extract-dual-v-widepath-carpet-cleaner/ . The direct link is here: http://hoover.com/file/592/ .

I hope this helps.

Hoover steam vac dual model F7425900

If you are talking about the brush block, take it out and see if the shaft that goes up into the turbine is broken off, if not, then the turbine has gone bad and will have to be replaced. The turbine is what turns the brushes.
