Drain the fuel tank, look inside the tank to ensure that the fuel line inside still has a fuel filter attached to it.
Look at the on/off switch ensure that both the wires are still attached to the switch securely.
Check that the plug still has spark, if unsure replace the plug.
Check the air filter to ensure that it is clean.
Mix the gas 50:1.

Buy your saws from a local chainsaw seller, They actually show how to operate your saw. For a few $ the local Husky outlet will teach you how to start and operate your saw. While there it's a good idea to pick up some PPE.

Stop!
Reread the manual starting instructions and follow them to the "T".
By this time there is a good chance that the Spark Plug is fouled out, I would replace the Plug and drain the gas tank. Mix FRESH gas with the proper oil mix...not too much. Prime only the number of times as in the starting instructions, choke, and start. Use your foot to hold saw in place, and pull the rope sharply!!

Why does my 445 husqvarna die after I start it in cold weather -17c

if the fresh air door is open to carb box, close it and you need to get a cold weather kit, which consists of air cleaner hood and a fly wheel suction reducer

My Husqvarna starts but won't accelerate when you pull the trigger, acts like the brake is on but the handle is in the free position.

It may be running very rich, make sure the air filter is clean, if ok. check the spark arrestor in the muffler outlet ( if fitted ) has not carboned up, if ok, check the exhaust port is not blocked with carbon.

How to start a Husqvarna 445?

Set choke to full on. To do this depress throttle all the way down and set choke lever to on. Pull starter rapidly until saw fires . Once it has fired set to start and pull starter cord until it starts. If it doesn't start in ten - twelve pulls, reset choke for two or three pulls, then switch back to start. Pull starter cord until it starts. When it starts it wii be at full R.P.Ms. Let run for twenty to thirty seconds. then move switch to run. Hope his helps, Thanks

Brand new husqvarna 445, won't start

Try not giving any throttle when first starting. The newer trimmers are this way many times. (Maybe the newer chainsaws are this way now.)You prime the carburetor, set the choke and pull, but don't throttle until it runs for 10 or 15 seconds.
