Only if they are the exact same style deck mine are same widtth cut but mounts are different and the better tractors has 3 blades other only has 2

Backfiring is a sign of too rich on gas and not enough air. Not enough gas will cause the mower to bog down when blades are engaged as it isn't powerful enough to run the motor AND turn the blades. Check your carb and see if you need to clean it and replace diaphgram. Sounds a lot like a carb problem.

Go to www.sears.com and click on partsdirect. Enter your model number of your tractor (found on a data plate usually under seat). It will take you to the page with your parts diagram. Look for the belt in diagram and scroll down to the appropriate number and it will give you the part number for the belt. You can order it from sears and pay shipping or go to local small engine parts department and give them the part number or you can just give them the model number of your tractor and they can get you the belt.

there are thousands of these mowers out there, and most people do not have the problem that you are experiencing - let's face reality, you are hitting something, that's the only way these break - it is impractical to make a machine that will mow through rocks, stumps, and water pipes and not break - also, sears does not MAKE anything, they contract companies to make products for them - if you want a thicker, tougher mandrel housing, log onto www.amcpartsstore.com. they recently began offering a heavy duty version of the mandrel housing, part no. 130794. i've seen these and they are definitely beefy - just be sure to put everything together correctly and tighten all the nuts and bolts firmly, and try to avoid the rocks and stumps

no you hit and bent the bed hight ajusters you may need to take the mower bed off to fix this part,,,,,
look as were the morer hight ajuster is,,, is it in the same place on both sides,,, my gess is its not
the bed has a tilt on it,,,they dont cut down trees very well do they?
