It depends when your blood sugar was at that level. How long since you had eaten? What is it when you first get up in the morning?

SOURCE: I am 62 years and diabetic my sugar level is 19, how can I bring it down to 9?

Many sites listed give helpful information, but your Doctor is the best source of assistance, as you may require medication temporarily until you get your numbers down to a better level.

When first starting out with a diagnosis, most people stay in denial until they read a book or take a class about diabetes, and the side effects on your future health, including early ***** and dementia from high blood pressure as two things you want to prevent.
