The bearings have likely lost their lubrication and have failed. You may be able tot find a local electric motor repair shop to replace the bearings. It really is not a diy project. However, if you can't find a local shop to do it, most folks replace the motor.

suction side leak... your grabbing air somewhere in the suction line.... take a hose at low pressure and with the pump running put it over various parts of the suction line... including your pump lid... if the problem goes away and you have no more air in the pump then you know what your problem is

One line lead wire to the L1 terminal, the other line lead wire to the L2 terminal and the green ground wire to the green grounded screw above the motor terminal board. It does not matter which wire, white or black, is on which terminal, L1 or L2, so long as one wire is on each terminal.
