Possible that the controller unit is a suspect. You need to check the water flow and level controller unit. Also check power to the motor while the program changes.
A Lathe machine turns a piece to be worked on usually along its longest axis. the tool height offset is picked up on the tool change, the h you refer to is equal to a g54 etc, the o offset needs to be activated with a line of code.
