Hello there.I got PL-D2000 from my friend. It worked well there. But at my house it makes no sound and plays no audio CDs. I can hear TEST TONE at front speakers. Sound Setting is Analog and Mute is off. Indicating red "Degital" does not disappear. TEAC said there is no sound-less mode and how to reset this problem. They say my one has a circuit part coming out.

Hi Rick, in order to connect your DVD player to your Teac, the DVD player, you must have audio outputs with RCA Red and White (L and R) connectors and enter it into the Auxiliary input of your Teac, or other input available
Discuss which brand and model is your DVD player, to find the best possible solution
I await your comment
Greetings Franco Dosil
Espero tu comentario

When a fuse trips, there is something wrong. Unless you find the component that causes this (or the shortage) you won't be able to use the receiver again.
To diagnose this I need to hook up the device to some gear, so I can't give a correct diagnose over the net. Sorry.
You may need a professional cleaning of all the switches internally. If you are up to it. Compressed air with an electronic aerosol cleaning solution is the first approach. Over time these parts develop oxidation. The voltage levels are small and the signal cannot be generated. You need to know what too clean, most are visible. You can also look for internal fuse protection. Make sure when the cover is removed to pull the power first. Some higher end Amplifiers provide protection. You will need a digital multi-meter or equivalent to test the fuses.
So before doing all of that. There is a reset switch. It is located between the speaker switches on the face of the receiver. At the top and in the middle left center of the display. Not at the speaker buttons on the left.
That function may be tripped. Reset it twice and try testing with different speakers if it fails again. It may trip instantaneously if there are abnormal voltage levels present in the circuit that arouse protection.
I have located and offer you the Manual PDF. Go here first and try the following. On page 8 in the manual. Titled, " Name of each Control" (D). There is a location diagram for you to observe. Please take some time and look this over.
first i downloaded the manual and read it through... it mentioned wrong disc but did not give any solution so i rang Teac and they told me it was a malfunction and by the time i paid for them to look at it i could buy a new dvd..... so i am going to buy a new dvd..... not really a solution but the only one available
what's the model number,i don't understand what you're asking, are you saying the fuse keeps popping in the house fuse panel?or the fridge stops running and the house fuse is ok.what is i.e.
