Try another charger and if that does not work there is a high possibility that the small jack inside the tablet has come loose. This is common if the cable was pulled or the tablet fell while being charged.
You will have to reset the tablet. Press the power and volume up buttons together to reboot. If this does not work, look for a small switch (accessible by a paperclip or small screwdriver) behind a small hole.
Check to see if there is a Reset button on your tablet. Usually it will be next to Power or Volume buttons. Use a small Pin to insert, press, and HOLD it for 15 seconds. Your tablet should reboot. See if it will reset your tablet and let you log into your tablet.
If that does not work, press and hold Power button until your tablet turns off completely. Press and hold Volume Down + Power at the same time for 15-20 seconds. See if the Recovery menu will comes up.
If still not working, power off again. Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons for 15-20 seconds.
1. Make sure that you Tablet is connected to the power adopter to maintain power. Do not forget to plug the power adopter to the power socket to charge.
2. Make sure that your Tablet is turned on then poke the small circular hole for 1 minute and wait until the Tablet turns off and it will reboot it self.
The microphone for the nexus 7 is a small hole on the right hand side of the tablet, just below the volume button. Make sure your hand and any cases you're using aren't covering this when you're trying to do a voice search.
Need more detail. What brand and model. What have you tried. Is sound working otherwise ? Is it working with headphones connected? Have you check if the on/ off button volume is ON (normally a small button on the side of the tablet).
There is a tiny reset hole on the back of the tablet marked with a "R" near the SD card slot. Push a small paper clip in the hole until you feel it hit the button. This will reset the tablet and the touch screen will start working again once you power it back up. --Emerson m744 android tablet.
I had a similar problem with a tablet of a different make. What worked for me (so hopefully for you too) was that on the back of the tablet there was a reset button. It is very small, just about big enough to press a straightened out paperclip into it. Or you can use a pin, or an allen wrench if you have one small enough. Press down on the reset button for about 3-5 seconds. If your tablet is already on and stuck at the coby part when you do this you should notice it trying to reboot. If you do it while the tablet is off the tablet will start itself after a few seconds of pressing the button. Of course please realize there may not be such a button on your model. But search the back and the sides for a small hole that might even say "reset" nest to it or consult the paperwork that came with your tablet for info on how to reset the tablet back to factory default.
This means that the cmos battery on the motherboard is flat and keeps losing time and date and probably the memory settings, this is only a small disc shaped watch type battery CR2032 and can be found on the motherboard, a pc repair shop would be able to do it for you for a small fee.
