It is the default inbuilt browser which does not open or start no matter how many times you restore the device. It is a software/firmware issue ,you need to install the latest firmware (v.10.65) or reinstall the existing firmware (RM-635,v.10.10) to run the browser. Installing the firmware requires PC & nokia pc suite app downloaded in your computer- lot of steps to be followed to install it on nokia2690. However there are lot of third party apps you can download like opera mini 8,UC browser 9.4 etc. -which works much faster & better than that corrupt built in browser that does not even responds .

try to delete internet history, cookies first and if u have changed your browser so pls download mozila firefox and open your yahoo mail again 100% it will work if not so pls send a message to yahoo help....
