Installed new Pioneer DVR-A18M Internal DVD.CD Writer.
Error message says I have no decoder. Pioneer website is no help.
1. Do all mfrs not supply decoder with unit, or is Pioneer the only one?
2. Whatinthehell do I do now?
You'll need a decoder from a program like cyber dvd or win dvd. Nero also has one and sonic too. If the drive came with a dvd player program install it. You can also find them through windows media player at microsoft's website but they will cost a few bucks. Search the internet for dvd player software you may find one for free. I hope this helps you. If you are like me you might have a program in your pile of software cds'.
