If you have a Hitachi remote HL02121, that means your TV model number is either 32PD7800 or 42PD7800.
According to the Owner's Manual the HDMI connector is activated by going to AV6.
While in the TV mode on the remote, press the '' button with the AV6 above it. That will tell the TV to use the HDMI input.
IF you don't have access to the TV remote, there are INPUT SELECTION buttons on the TV near the Lower Left hand Corner of the cabinet. Press the INPUT SELECTION button until AV6 is displayed on the screen (HDMI Input)
You have to press that button to the right of where the TV and DVD light that flashes are so that TV light lights up. Then you should be able to select the tv settings.
Press the menu button. You will get a set of questions. You select he coorec one that suit you and tune your TV. Mostly the set up menu! select auoto tune and watch. It will search and save automaticaly. Later yo u change to your choice using the menu!
Hi There
Came to this site with the same problem - finding no answers I went back and tried again
Hope this isn't too late for you. Press the 'MENU' button - you'll get the picture sound etc - keep your finger on it and you get 'INSTALLATION' at the bottom in white!
Hey presto! use the <&> to get into the sub menu and away you go!
Hope this was some help
(P.S. use the menu button on the front of the set if the remote button fails to bring up the installation option = it is behind a flap between the on/off button and the indicator lamp under the screen)
