Cd player cd won't play in player. cd Door keeps opening when disc placed in it

I have a head unit simular to the cdx m630 and the (wire ribbon) that connects on the back of the display portion of the unit came loose, it has the motorized display which also will not retract anymore and the unit won't plat cd's. Since it's a tight space where the wire is I can't re-conect it.

Can anyone HELP!

I just bought a new car with this radio already in the car. I don't know how to get the face plate to open to get a cd in.

Help!!!!

No disc. - Load a disc into the tray.
Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.
Disc region code does not match region code of the player.
Disc type is not the correct type to play.
Disc is damaged or dirty. Clean the disc or try another.
Moisture may be condensed inside the unit. Remove the disc and the leave the power on for one or two hours.

follow the steps and fix it.

Hello
If it does not play the cleaner disc, just inspect whether the disc inserted in spins inside it. You can check this by open the upper cover of the player, and inserting a disc into it. If inserted disc spins inside, and the player won't read it, the fault is with its laser pickup unit, and it should be replaced with same type and number.
If the disc dos not spins, the fault is with the sled motor [the motor that spins the inserted disc], has damaged, and should be replaced. OK.

MY SYSTENMS PLAYS WELL BUT THE RECODING UNIT CANNOT READ A NEW DISC. KEEP TELLING ME WRONG DISC. I HAVE TRIED ALL TYPES OF DISC BUT IT WON'T READ IT.

Have you tried a blank disc with "audio" or "music" marked on it? It won't record on data discs.

Disc door won't open. DVD in will still play. How can we make the door open

try to re start the power first to reset the supply in which the door unable to open and then push the open/close button to open the door. if still won't open maybe their is an stuck up at mechanical part, so turn off the player then use a Phillip screw driver to loosen the screws and to remove the cover of the DVD player .you can now access the disc mechanical assembly of your DVD player, remove the CD first and then check if the plastic gear is mis aligned or the the drive belt is broken.much better if you can apply silicon grease in plastic gear for smooth operation.then make sure the open/close button is ok, good luck and good day.

DOOR OPENS WHEN DISK # IS PUSHED TO PLAY CD

This sounds like the disc is not completing the load sequence. This can occur if hte load belt slips and requires replacement. Try pressing play without a disc in place. If the the tray opens, then the problem is one within the command processing and will require additional diagnostics. At this point, you should get a detailed repair estimate. We should be able to guide you through the actual repair with that info.

Honestly, when the mechanical parts wear to this extent, you're better off to buy a new CD/DVD player, since they are so much cheaper than repairing older units.

The cd door is stuck as if a cd is out of place. Won't open enough to see the problem.

Before, when trying to see the problem, I clicked "skip" to see if it would go through all the discs. It did, but still wouldn't open the door. Later, I clicked "play" each time, then "skip", and after going through all 5 discs, the door opened. Go figure.

Player won't read cd's keeps opening door

This model has a belt used for loading the cd mech, after you push play if the belt is slipping or gone,the door will open, if you take the cabinet off eith power off and traopen, look at cd mech you see a belt, it may be loose or gone

YAMAHA CD PLAYER WON'T PLAY

GG My kids had a PlayStation 2 that did this and so did my AIWA 3 CD player. The solution for the PlayStation was to remove the cover use alcohol and clean the lens of the laser reader. They get dust on them and simply cannot read. The AIWA required replacement of the laser which cost almost as much as the unit and didn't last 6 months.
