You will have to take the top off and do a little testing. the button could be off on the pcb or the drive may be a little stubborn. put a paperclip in the drive release hole and then try the button a few times. if it works, its just a stubborn drive , if it doesn't, the pcb may need a reflow. i have seen a few with cold solder joints.
not really hard to fix.

Cd rom wont open

Hi in front of the CD-ROM drive there should be a small pin size hole. Stick a pin in there to release the CD-ROM lock and it should open.

I emachine dvd rom/burner won't open how can i open it? but before it really do not play any dvd and then now it wont open.

If the door on your CD/DVD drive will not open when you push the eject button (on the front of the drive), Click on Start, My Computer, and Right Click on your CD/DVD drive. Then Click on Eject. If the door still refuses to open, you can insert a paper clip into the small hole on the faceplate of the drive and push it in until the door opens. If the door continues to refuse to open in the normal manner, you will have to replace the drive,

The door wont open

Hold the button down without releasing it until the drive opens. If it still does not open, get a pin and look for the tiny hole on the face plate of the drive and press and hold it in to reset the drive.

CD in stuck in the computer and I can't get it out using the eject button. How do I get it to come out?

hi,
its too simple. you dont need to worry.. Check the front side of the CD ROM. you will find there one small hole. Now just take a thing, which is around the 4 to 6 inch (min is 4") long and can pass through that hole (for eg. take medium size U pin, and remove all bends and make it straight or long needle) Now insert this equipment in that hole and press. your ROM will eject...
Hope this has helped you ... Thanks....

Cd rom door wont open

Do you see blinking light on your CD Drive. If not, you may need to check you power supply to CD Drive.
If yes, may be door looks jam, opening up once may remove any dust to smooth it out again. To open up there is small pin hole on cd drive, generally on the right side, use needle and press it through the pin hole, it will eject the CD Door and you can pull it out completely.

Cd rom drive door

Best guess is that a small plastic catch broke. My cousin has similar doors on his CD trays. I personally would take the doors off. As far as repair, again best guess without seeing it, is that you'll need a new door panel.

Wont eject

Hi, If there is a disc in the drive it's possible that it has become jammed and therefore will not allow the door to open. If you get a large paperclip and bend out one side you will find there is a little hole in the front of the drive. Insert the straightened end of the paperclip carefully into the hole until you feel resistance. Gently but firmly you will need to apply an amount of force and the door will pop open. Remove the disc and restart the computer, hopefully the drive will now respond as required.

If not then possibly the door mechanism band/spring has become too loose or broken. At least these days CD/DVD drive are not too expensive to replace.

Let me know how you go,

CD Rom Driver door won't open without using the straightened out paper clip or pressing the driver door button upwards of 15, 20 or maybe 25 times. It will eventually open after repeatedly pressing for...

If this happens with all your CDs and everytime, I would suggest you should replace your CD Rom Drive with a new one. After use of some years CD Rom Drives have such problems. Otherwise a software might locking your drive. you should find a tool which unlocks the drive and then press the eject button.
