SOURCE: my network switch LEDs all blinking even without LAN connected
Hi,
The LEDS blinking normally would indicate reset internally or when the unit has just been powered on. Continous LEDs lighting up or flashing with or without a connection is an indication of extensive hardware failure. This could have been brought about by a near lightning strike, a power surge or simply component failure. Unfortunately the repairs is not economically reasonable and therefore a replacement might be better off. Sorry.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

You're laptop needs to have a profile for the router. Go to Network and Sharing Center, Manage Wireless Networks. Please remove all the listed networks there. Now click on Add, then Add a Network in Range of this Computer. Select the wireless name of your router and connect. If it asks for a network key, please type your wireless security key then connect. That should do it.

First of all, the default password for Admin is '123456'. The network button is grayed out because network is initializing. Which means the network portion of you copier is trying to boot up. If it never finishes booting up, you will need an authrized technician to re-load system firmware on your machine.

Sounds like you have a wireless router, but are (for some reason) plugging your laptop into it, and if it's not wireless, you should return it and get a wireless one for about the same money, that will let you use your laptop from anywhere, and the setup is often easier, as it can usually all be done via the Installation CD. You can also still plug the Aficio 1515 into the router and print wirelessly to it from your laptop, once you have it configured.
Next, the Aficio 1515 printer feature included a standard usb port, so I find this a little strange.

The 'network settings' guide will be most helpful. The two things you primarily need to be concerned with are the "IP address", and "subnet mask". Do not use "Auto", but rather set them manually, and then configure the printer driver
If you don't have a basic understanding of IP addresses, and network printing, then you'll really need some help to complete the setup
