USB plug in recognition

By B130 recognizes the 1GB Lexar flashdrive (love it), it recognizes my
Sony digital camera (love it), but I bought a Fuji S700 camera (love it) and
cannot download pictures to the B130. The CD software was installed, but
the computer will not recognize the USB. It works fine at my office. Thus, I
download the pictures at my office, place them on the Lexar and transfer them into my B130. I also purchased a SanDisk cruzer micro 1GB flashdrive which works great at the office, but isn't recognized by the B130.
I also purchased a USB bluetooth wireless device (looks like a flashdrive) so phone pictures can be transferred. Works fine at the office, not on the
B130. Help please, I'm sure there's an easy solution. I've tried down-
loading drivers, device manager items, to no avail. I'm spent. My B130
runs Windows XP with the Pentium M processor and 1GB RAM.

The first word should be My, not By. The computer of which is spoken is a Dell Laptop

    Inspiron B130.

I just inserted a new 8GB memory card but it tells me ''OUT OF MEMORY'' I tried to format it but still gives me the same message. Why is that and what can I do about it please?

The memory card you are trying to use in the camera is not supported. This camera is an older technology that can not recognize the large 8 GB memory capacity of the card. In fact, the largest approved card your camera will recognize is 1 GB.

The list of approved memory cards was obtained from the Nikon Site directly, and pasted below for your convenience.

Nikon has tested the following cards and approved their use in the Coolpix 5700:

CompactFlash memory cards:
SanDisk SDCFB series 16 MB, 32 MB, 48 MB, 64 MB, 96 MB, and 128 MB
Lexar Media 4× USB series 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 48 MB, 64 MB, and 80 MB
Lexar Media 8× USB series 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 48 MB, 64 MB, and 80 MB
Lexar Media 10× USB series 128 MB and 160 MB
Lexar Media 40x USB WA series 256 MB*
Microtech International Digital Flash Film 1GB*
Delkin eFilm 650MB Pro*
Ritz Big Print 8x 256MB* (Edge Code 0E1B)

Microdrive cards:
DSCM-10512 512 MB
DSCM-11000 1 GB

I just bought a Tashiba Laptop And It wont read my digital camera... Not sure if I had a CD to download before it would read it, But I don't have anything to download... Please help TIFFANY

Allow your computer to freely access the internet and then plug the camera's USB cable into one of the USB ports on the computer. When the external device wizard pops up just choose the option to use windows explorer to look at the files... you can then move all photos to your computer with a drag and drop. If you still want the computer to recognize the camera as a camera you can download and install the appropriate driver from fuji.

Finepix s7000 new 4gb card not initialized fujifilm cf

The S700 as it came from the factory CANNOT use a 4 gig card. You must go to the Fuji USA website and download the firmware update. You will need to have the program that came with the camera installed, and the cable that also came with the camera. Make sure that you have fresh batteries in the camera. Instructions are on the Fuji website along with the download for the firmware. You are actually going to "flash" the firmware in the camera just as if you were doing a BIOS flash in your computer. Personally, I only use smaller cards and remove the pics soon after I take them. A 2 gig card will hold about 150 full rez pics. Get them out of the camera....don't save them forever on the card!

I can't save images from my Fuji S5700 to my

Try removing the memory card and reading it through a card reader inserted into a USB port. Have you installed the program that came with the camera? I never used mine because I have other high end graphics programs and I always use a card reader instead of the cable. You WILL need the program if you want to do a firmware/BIOS update in the S700, and also the cable. The S700/5700 will only accept up to a 2gig memory card. If you want to use a 4 gig card, the camera (and also your computer) won't recognize the card until you do the update to the firmware. Available with instructions from FujifilmUSA website.

Black-n-purple viewing screen my fuji s700 (s7000) camera

Sounds like a bad LCD as I had a similar experience with a different brand. The part itself is probably not very cheap... but if you have $120 you could get the same camera, referbished.

Drivers

All the drivers you need are pre-loaded within the Windows XP operating system. Just plug the camera in the any USB port (with the power OFF), turn the camera to ON, and Windows should recognize the camera as a new drive.

Cannot upload pics from camera to PC

Hi Ray;
Try uninstalling the Fuji software completely, through the Windows control panel. Don't use the supplied software at all. Make sure the camera is unplugged from the computer. Open "my computer" and note which drives are present. Now plug in the camera (still turned off) to the USB port. Turn the camera power switch on. Wait and see if a new drive icon shows up. It may take a minute or so. If you get a new icon (probably Fuji DSC or similar), you should be able to open the new drive and access the images through the various folders. If not, can you see images on the camera screen (when not connected to computer)? If yes, maybe a bad cable. If no, could be corrupted images on card.
