Saeco Gran Baristo has E05 error. Restarting doesn't resolve the error.

Saeco Gran Baristo has E05 error. I was in the middle of descale and it won't rinse. It's been grumpily rinsing for several days but wouldn't make coffee. I could force the rinse using the preground coffee option - so I cleaned the unit of cofffee oils several times and finally achieved a clean rinse of all the coffee options (Americano through espresso.) I though it might be a good idea to descale even though it wasn't time. Now mid descale and it is stopped. I tried turning it on and off many times, reseating the water tank many times. It seems to need a manual pump prime but I can't get out of the "E05.Restart to resolve."

You need to clear the error code. Start machine and go into the maintenance menu press enter twice (second button down on the right hand side). This will clear the code and reset.

Try descaling it manually- by adding the descaler into the tank, letting the machine warm up and then open the water spout to fill one cup at a time. wait 15min. in between. Also clean brew group and grinder.

SOURCE: Saeco Gran Crema Espresso does not pump water

The machine needs to be primes.
Please trie and release hot water though the steam nossle.
Do like this
Open the steamer and then trie and make a cup of coffe. this will make the hot water come out thought the steamer instead of the coffe outlet.
Why you should do this is becuse the machine has it alot more easier to prime it self though the steamer then the coffe outlet.

SOURCE: My brew unit is stuck,

Try this.

You can enter a sort of diagnostic menu by pressing I believe the bypass doser and the medium coffee button together while you turn the machine on.

I forget which now, but one of the buttons will spin the brew unit one way, and another button will spin the brew unit the other way. The third button will activate the doser which makes a very LOUD clack noise.

You should be able to "wind" the brew unit manually this way in order to release it.

Good Luck.

Saeco Odea. Go get ready to make coffee but when I press button to make coffee, ground grains and filter lights flashes alternatively?

Hello! When the ground grains and filter lights on your Saeco Odea coffee machine are flashing alternatively, it usually indicates an issue with the brewing unit or the coffee grounds. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
  1. Check the coffee grounds: Open the machine's front door and remove the brew group. Check the coffee grounds container to ensure it is not full or clogged. Clean out any excess coffee grounds and ensure that the container is properly inserted.
  2. Clean the brew group: Thoroughly clean the brew group and its components according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pay special attention to the coffee chute, coffee funnel, and the area where the brew group attaches to the machine. Ensure there are no coffee grounds or debris obstructing the mechanisms.
  3. Check the water reservoir: Ensure that the water reservoir is filled with enough water and properly inserted into the machine. Sometimes a low water level can trigger error signals.
  4. Restart the machine: After cleaning and checking all the necessary components, close the front door securely and turn the machine off and then on again. This may reset the error condition.
  5. Descale the machine: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to descale the machine. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for descaling your specific model of Saeco Odea.
If the problem persists after performing these steps, it may be necessary to contact Saeco customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They will be able to provide more specific guidance based on the model and the nature of the issue you're experiencing.

Error code 5 on saeco minuto coffee machine

Error code 5 means the water flow is obstructed. Here are possible locations:
1- The machine was not descaled. Calcium deposits are clogging the water system.

2- The flow meter is not passing impulses for water flow speed & quantity.

3- Descale Descale Descale.
Before you select the automatic descaling, make a few espresso without adding coffee grounds. The automatic cycle does not clean the coffee side of the machine. You have to do it intentionally.

Take out the water filter and see if the code disappears. If it does, replace the water filter. If not then use vinegar to descale the unit.

How to solve E05 problem on Saeco Exprelia?

I filled the water tank half with descaling solution (less diluted than normal - probably it was double or tripple strength) and restarted the machine several times. It kept on showing E05 each time, but it took in a small sip of the descaling, so I waited some ours and restarted it 3 times more. And repeated this for several times for 2 days. When I had almost given up, after 15-20 restarts, it primed and I could run a full descale. I forgot to weigh how much decaling it took in by each restart, that would have been nice to be able to post.

Coffee maker will not prime.

E05 means "Water circuit blocked. No water in flow meter or flow meter not turning (jammed)".
Since I got it when I had not descaled for a month, I poured in tripple strength descale in the water container, and restarted the machine 3 times. Noticed that it took in a small gulp of the descale. Waited hours. Restarted 3 times again. Waited... and after about 20 restarts over 2 days. When I almost had given up it primed and was able to do a normal descaling.
I forgot to weigh how many grams of descaled it took in after each restart. That would have been nice for troubleshooting.

Saeco xelsis error code 5

Error 5 on your machine usually means it needs a new pump. The pump may be too weak to do the job.

Always try to descale the machine before doing anything else. If you can't then you will have to take it in for service.

Saeco error codes

I don't think this is the case. The E04 code is about lubrication of the brew group. This is directly from Saeco support in Germany. However, the problem does persist. It seems to be an issue of poor design more than anything else.
