Sorry - unless you can tell us the make and model, we are as much in the dark as you are.

set screws attach the lens and barlows. they are little silver knobs. you should also attach your barlows before the angle piece and lens for a clear picture

SOURCE: How do I remove stuck rear lens cap for telephoto lens on D3200

Are you sure you're turning it in the proper direction? Nikon lenses (and thus rear lens caps) screw in the "wrong" way. The lens cap turns clockwise to remove.

If it's an ordinary plastic lens cap, as a last resort you could cut it open with a knife.

Can't see out of lense. Do you take both end caps off? How do you work it? It's new and the instructions are not forthcoming.

Here are all the manuals. Find your telescope- look down this page:

The MIRROR is the bottom of the telescope. The focuser is on the side of the tube and should be th UP end of the telescope. Remove the lens cap.

I have a bushnell 78-8876 scope , AM i cant get an image

Put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number into the focuser. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if you have one. Practice focusing during the day time on a distant object.

If this is a reflector style telescope the focuser is on the UP END of the telescope. The mirror is the bottom of the telescope. Remove the lens cap.

Cannot see through the lens of a 565 bushnell telescope

Did you remove the lens cap.

This is a simple refractor telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. Read my TIPS on my profile page.

I can't see anything through the Main Telescopic Tube

Did you take the lens cap off?

You have a small 60mm refractor style telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow which you might have that doubles the magnification of the eyepiece. Your scope is too small to use the barlow. Remember most binoculars are 7x50mm. So your aperture is not much bigger than a pair of binoculars.

Now go outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object using the eyepiece with the largest number written on it.

Can't see anything through the lens?

Put the diagonal into the telescope-- then put the eyepiece that has the LARGEST number written on it. This is the lowest magnification. DO NOT USE THE BARLOW 2x multiplier !!

Take the scope outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. The moon should be the first night time target you try to see.

Bushnell 700x76

Just got a 78-8831 and set it up according to instructions. After inserting lens into eyepiece, I can't see anything at all. Dont worry, I've removed the front cap from the the main telescope.

Something leads to believe I'm either missing something real fundamental or my telescope is broken. Please help
