I cant get the right resolution on my Norcent monitor

I cant get the right resolution on my monitor when I hook it up to my laptop. The numbers dont go high enough. I called the company I got the laptop from, and they said I needed a norcent driver, but I cant find that anywhere!

Go into desktop settings-advanced-and then look at what you have listed, then go to control panel, systems-device manager and have video show all resolutions available, then select.

If the company said you need a driver, how come the monitor don't come with a CD to install the Driver? How come they did not point out how you can get the Driver? Look in Device Manager under "Monitors". Does it say "Plug and Play"? If so, you don't need any monitor driver. Try adjusting the resolution on the desktop also, right click in desktop, properties, settings, adjust the slider...

Norcent Technologies LM173SB 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor Won't work with Windows 7

I ran into this very problem myself, the issue is that the monitor only supports 1280x1024 resolution MAX. Windows 7 cannot detect this monitor and so it does not know it is limited to this resolution, so Windows 7 is putting out a higher resolution at startup, thus the monitor tries to autodect for a second but then just goes blank because it doesn't understand (and can't display) the signal. The only solution is to use another monitor and adjust the resolution to 1280x1024 or lower, but I run into a problem where as soon as you remove the other monitor and restart, WIndows tries to "plug & play" the monitor all over again at startup. So you're best bet really is a newer monitor unfortunately, I only use my old Norcent monitor with my XP computer.

I WANT TO USE THE TV AS A MONITOR FOR MY LAPTOP THAT HAS A BUSTED SCREEN. I HAVE IT HOOKED THROUGH A CONVERTER BOX AND THE S VIDEO PLUG TO THE LAPTOP. ITS HOOKED UP BUT I CANT READ THE WRITING IT IS VERY...

The resolution for S video is low, 480i. This is going to be your limitation. You can try to change the resolution on the laptop, but this will more or less just resize it. Does your TV have VGA? A simple VGA cable would be all you need and the resolution would be much higher. If this is an older TV, they just make for good monitors.

I try to use my Norcent tv with computer with a vga cable, but I get a "no signal input" memo on the screen vhen I try to set the source. What do I need to do?

you need to set the computer to display on another monitor. You don't say what kind of compture you are trying to hook up, but generally if you right click on your screen and then click either "settings" if XP or "screen resolution" if Windows 7 you can find an option to use the tv as a monitor. most laptops will have the option to "display on projector" option. These alll vary with each computer model, but you have to tell the computer to display on your tv, most won't do it automatically

My Asus VK191S monitor comes up with the following error "out of range". How do i solve this

You will need to change the screen resolution of your computer. It means that the monitor cant handle that screen resolution. If your are unable to access your computer because of this my may have to hook it up to a monitor that can handle it then go turn the resolution all the resolution. Then hook up the Asus monitor and work your way up. till its at the highest resolution without saying "out of range" you do this by right clicking on a blank space on the desktop and going to properties or personalize then display settings or a similar tab or category :) hope this helps

How do u connect a ei53fp monitor to a 1336 by 768 reolution laptop

Attaching a second monitor to a Laptop, if its fairly new, will automatically load a second display. Right click the background on your LAPTOP screen and select properties after you attach the monitor cable. Go to settings. You should see two monitors. If not, you need to press Fn+ F6 on most Laptops to activate the second monitor. See your owner's manual on function key (Fn) Choose the second monitor screen and set the desired resolution.

My tv shows invalid mode when hooked to my

Active resolution of your tv is1280x720. You have to adjust the resolution in the graphic properties on your pc . Just keep tweaking it till you find one that works with your tv. I would start at max resolution (1280x720) then work my way down. Let me know what happens.
